Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor seeking a new challenge? Our client, a leader in the water industry, is looking for dedicated surveyor to join them on a permanent basis. With significant work secured in the Thames Water region, they are expanding their quantity surveying team. We welcome applications from skilled quantity surveyors eager to manage and oversee impactful projects.
You will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of water infrastructure and non infrastructure projects. Your expertise will help ensure projects meet the highest standards of cost control, efficiency, and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and managing all cost-related aspects of projects within the Thames Water region, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and reports, ensuring all financial aspects are meticulously managed and documented.
- Conducting regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to budget and schedule.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and financial objectives.
- Providing accurate and timely cost advice and financial reporting to project teams and clients.
- Identifying and managing risks, opportunities, and changes in project scope, ensuring financial implications are properly addressed.
- Ensuring all project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and payment applications, is completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Monitoring and enforcing compliance with Health & Safety regulations and industry standards.
- Training and developing junior quantity surveyors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in quantity surveying within the water industry.
- Extensive knowledge of cost management processes and methodologies within the water sector.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Familiarity with relevant project management software and tools.
- Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety regulations.
- Previous experience in water and wastewater treatment plants and infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve financial issues and ensure project success.
