Senior Service Lead Glasgow– 39 hours per week

We are looking for a Senior Service Lead to join our friendly and welcoming team in Glasgow. You’ll have a really rewarding role working with a great team of people. We deliver creative, dynamic and person centred services providing a range of individualised support to our service users.

The Role

The role will be an even split between operational, administrative and staff management duties and undertaking the responsibilities of a Support Worker.

The Senior Service Lead will report directly to the Registered Locality Manager and will work closely with other senior team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality support services. This comprehensive role requires a compassionate and experienced leader; the role is essential to the continuous improvement and effective operation of our services. We aim to provide the best possible person centred support to adults with autism and learning difficulties while fostering a supportive and professional environment for our staff.

Whilst on rota as a Support Worker you will provide support to our service users. You will help the people we support to live their life the way they want, ensuring they have choice and control over the planning and delivery of their support. You will enable them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support along with encouraging them to develop positive relationships and engage with the community. You will be supporting individuals with a variety of needs: helping with finances, personal care, domestic tasks and medication.

It is important that you uphold and implement our values, policies and procedures and are a positive role model for the staff team. You will regularly conduct supervisions and appraisals to monitor performance, provide feedback and support professional growth. You will ensure the team are up to date on all required training and registrations, assisting where needed to ensure we have a highly effective and well informed workforce.

You will be required to conduct regular health and safety audits across services to promote a safe living and working environment. This will involve identifying and coordinating any required maintenance, reviewing care plans regularly and auditing paperwork against high compliance standards. Part of the role will also involve welcoming new employees into our service. You will greet potential candidates, conducting service tours and if successful provide inductions to equip them with a full understanding of the working environment and role expectations.

Please note the role will require you to be on call on a rota basis. An enhanced Adult PVG application will be required for successful applicants.

Qualifications and Experience


To be a registered member of the SSSC
Level 3 SQV in health and social care
Significant experience in the social care sector
Proven leadership and management experience

Purpose of the role

As a Support Worker you will be able to contribute to changing people’s lives. You will be able to help the people you support to live the individual life they want, ensuring they have choice and control over the planning and delivery of their support.You will enable them to reach their potential by providing both physical and emotional support along with encouraging them to develop positive relationships and to be an equal and valued member of their local community.

The would be supporting two ladies. You would be required to assist with personal care, medication administration, domestic duties, shopping and day to day activities. It would be advantageous if you have previous experience of working with adults with challenging behaviour, although this is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Shifts would include days, evenings and sleepovers.

Drivers are preferred but are not essential.

On a typical day you will promote independence and offer guidance with life skills such as: personal care, cooking and cleaning. Administering/ prompting medication as well as supporting individuals to attend appointments, going out on activities, socialise and lead fulfilled lives.

There can be challenging behaviour involved, it would be advantageous if you have previous experience of supporting with adults with challenging behaviour, although this is not essential.

You will work long days and sleepover shifts.

Previous experience is preferred for this position although full training will be provided.

A driver with a clean license is highly advantageous.

We have an exciting opportunity for a People Administrator to support our Care at Home businesses based around Scotland and in Shrewsbury. This busy and rewarding role involves the recruitment of carers who will provide personalised care at home support for older people, enabling them to retain their independence whilst continuing to live in their own homes.

You will also be responsible in ensuring the applicant tracking system is kept up to date. From writing adverts to attending recruitment events, to inducting new starters and analysing recruitment data you will be involved in every aspect of the recruitment journey.

You will work alongside the employee journey process, continuously engaging with the new employee within the first six months, sending and receiving feedback surveys, you will provide general advice to employees and managers in line with Organisational policies and procedures, you will record all new starter, changes and leaver information on to the HR system.

About the Candidate:


Excellent customer service skills
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work on a wide variety of tasks each day
Excellent organisational skills with experience of working within a fast paced environment
Ability to prioritise work in line with customer demand and service level agreements
Strong administration experience in a recruitment related role
Experience of working with a Applicant Tracking System
Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) standard
