£35,000-£50,000 - Quantity Surveyor
Bonus pension car allowance
Location: Seascale (On site 5 days a week)
Hours of work: 37hrs Mon-Fri
Applicants must have experience of the following:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a significant portion in nuclear or highly regulated industries
* Experience using CEMAR.
* Experience of working on NEC 3 or 4 Contracts, JCT or FIDIC etc.
* Strong knowledge of nuclear industry regulations, codes, and standards.
* Proficiency in cost estimating software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Role information:
* Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring that expenditures align with approved budgets and implementing cost-saving measures where necessary.
* Contract Management: Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks associated with nuclear projects, developing strategies to mitigate these risks and minimize financial impacts.
* Cost Reporting: Provide regular financial reports and updates to project stakeholders, including detailed breakdowns of costs, forecasts, and cost-to-complete analyses.
* Change Management: Evaluate and manage changes to project scope, cost, and schedule, ensuring that change orders are properly documented and approved.
* Vendor Management: Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate favorable terms, track performance, and resolve disputes or issues as they arise.
* Quality Control: Ensure that all aspects of cost management align with the highest quality standards and adhere to nuclear industry regulations.
