Your new role
As a Damp & Disrepair Surveyor, you will work closely with property service supervisors to deliver and co-ordinate works and an approach to property disrepair. Your responsibilities will include conducting surveys to address complaints of damp, mould, or disrepair and recommending appropriate remedial actions. You will act as a first point of contact for issues, resolving them efficiently and effectively with operational staff, whilst also programming works and allocating resources to maintain high performance levels across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will have experience in conducting building surveys in tenants homes, identifying the causes of damp and mould. In addition, knowledge of current disrepair legislation will be helpful in this role. From a qualification perspective, you'll need to have a HNC in Construction or an equivalent level qualification, which could also include an A Level.

What will you be responsible for?

• Manage all commercial aspects of the assigned project to maximise profitability and cash flow
• Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
• Prepare and present monthly cost reports
• Work with the Client team to agree valuations and contract variations
• Support the Project team with commercial and contractual expertise
• Sub-Contractor procurement and account management, valuations, re-measures and payment notices

Asbestos Surveyor / Consultant

Location: Cornwall / Devon

Salary: £25k - £35k (DOE) + Excellent Benefits

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Hybrid Considered (40 hours)

The Client:

Our client isa prominent environmental services provider, offering comprehensive asbestos and Legionella management solutions to clients across the UK.

The Role:

As an Asbestos Consultant, you'll conduct asbestos management, refurbishment, demolition, and reinspection surveys.

You will occasionally be required to cover sites in the surrounding counties of Somerset and Dorset.

Responsibilities:

- Perform asbestos sampling and utilise TEAMS asbestos database software for reporting.

- Produce detailed asbestos survey reports.

- Assist in managing large-scale projects and pricing complex surveys.

- Complete risk assessments and method statements.

- Coordinates with clients and contractors.

- Maintain and calibrate equipment.

- Ensure compliance with UKAS, HSG 264, and HSG 248 regulations.

- Manage safe waste storage and disposal.

- Complete IQC, MQC, RICE, and AIMS as required.

Requirements:

- Previously worked as an Asbestos Consultant or in a similar role.

- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy.

- Must have a BOHS P402 qualification.

- Competency in conducting various asbestos surveys.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

- Full UK driving licence.

Good to have:

- At least 2 years of experience in an asbestos surveyor role

- Ideally, have BOHS P401, P403, and P404 qualifications.

- Skilled in TEAMS, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office
