We are currently seeking a highly experienced and strategic Construction Manager to join our client, a market leader in the water industry. This role will be based out of London, overseeing a flagship Thames Water project and providing senior leadership to ensure successful project execution.

As a Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the overall success of the project, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction, and coordinating efforts across various project teams.

Responsibilities:

• Providing senior leadership and strategic direction across all construction activities within the Thames Water project
• Ensuring exemplary safety and quality standards are upheld throughout all project phases
• Overseeing the implementation of the Business Management System (BMS) from tender handover to final completion
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams at all levels
• Ensuring optimal staffing levels and effective resource allocation for project success
• Developing and endorsing comprehensive project execution plans and construction methodologies
• Approving detailed construction plans and method statements prior to project commencement
• Managing all commercial aspects of the project, including budget control, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Coordinating with Project Managers and other senior staff to ensure project milestones are met

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary construction projects, preferably within the water industry
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in construction, engineering, or a related discipline
• Advanced Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent certification
• In-depth knowledge of Construction Contracts, particularly NEC and/or IChemE
• Strong understanding of CDM and construction Health & Safety regulations
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate large teams, manage resources effectively, and achieve strategic objectives
• Previous experience with water and wastewater treatment plants is highly advantageous

Associate Legal Counsel - Property

Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, the Associate Legal Counsel - Property will take sole responsibility for providing legal advice on all commercial and real estate matters. Supporting related projects across Nuffield Health, managing legal claims and issues, continuing to develop an efficient, responsive, risk mitigating and cost saving internal legal function.

As our Associate Legal Counsel - Property, you will:

• Responsibility for drafting and reviewing various contracts which may include, purchase agreements, lease contracts, financing agreements, and property development contracts.

• Undertake due diligence such as zoning restrictions, environmental and building code compliance.

• Provide strategic and commercial advice to the business including the Operational Directors, Property Director, the Property & Estates Management Team and Asset Management Team. Working closely with the business, being proactive in identifying potential risk for the business and offering solutions.

• Assist with the management of a small amount of dispute resolution/litigation.

• Responsible for maintaining, developing, drafting, and reviewing a suite of precedent lease and related documents and toolkits. Actively seeking opportunities to enhance the legal, commercial, and operational processes supporting their fully managed offering.

• Supporting the business to meet its strategic priorities, its regulatory and compliance obligations, and to minimise its risk.

• Providing in-house training and know-how to teams on property documentation and other relevant legal topics.

• Advising the business on new and proposed UK legislative developments and identifying risks and benefits to the business.

• Instruct, engage and manage our external lawyers as necessary.

As a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor, you'll be at the heart of a multidisciplinary team. Your mission? To deliver a full suite of building surveying duties across various projects and sectors.

What you'll need to succeed
