Your new role :
We are looking for a Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team - Reporting to Senior Surveyors, Contracts Manager and Directors , main duties listed :
- Produce and send enquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender and engagement with supply chain
- Receive and analyse quotations, liaising with Contracts Managers and Site Agents regarding price, proven history, availability etc.
- Notify in writing both successful and unsuccessful subcontractors in a timely manner
- Produce and process formal subcontract documents and certify interim and final payments and final subcontract account
- Produce bill of quantity/activity schedule for payment purposes
- Produce cash flow forecasts for internal and client purposes
- Monitor and control income and expenditure on contracts e.g. interim/final applications for payment/final accounts/payments for late monies etc. liaising where necessary with the relevant people e.g. engineers, clients etc.
- Produce relevant monthly reports for the Managing Surveyors e.g. cost and value comparisons, turnover forecasts etc. ensuring information is complete and accurate

What you'll need to succeed :
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar;
- Ideally previous experience in a similar role;
- Ability to work as part of team;
- Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to communicate effectively;
- Excellent numerical and problem-solving skills;
- IT proficiency;
- Ability to meet deadlines;
- Security cleared or the ability to obtain the required level of clearance;
- Knowledge of basic common law, contract law and standard form conditions of contract;
- Experience with contract documentation preparation;
- Ability to manage change control effectively;
- Experience with contract administration, ensuring contract compliance;
- Experience with cost forecasting and reporting.
