Your new role
Your new job working as a Real Estate Account Executive means you will be working with a team of experienced insurance professionals leading client advocacy as main contacts for significant mid-large corporate accounts, with responsibility for day to day service delivery, delegation and for supporting the leadership of individual teams. You will be responsible for providing the day-to-day service delivery to a mixed portfolio of UK and or European property owner and real estate clients. Your role will be to deliver an enhanced service and added value to clients, maintaining a robust approach to ensure all clients have a service plan and an annual timetable of visits aligned to their needs. Dealing with clients from inception to completion. You will be responsible for managing renewal income and actively seek out and generate new revenue opportunities through regular new business activity and by attending networking events. Building and growing a wide network of client and market contacts and serve as a role model and mentor to associates in developing the same. Other duties will include attending insurer review meetings as well as preparing renewal reports and other technical documents. Their portfolio includes complex projects ranging from 8-10 storey buildings involving soft strip and full demolitions, basement box working with a variety of structural elements such as metal frames, MEP systems, facades, waterproofing, and weatherproofing etc.

They are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple projects, working closely with the site team and ensuring projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the financial aspects of multiple demolition projects, ranging from £5-10 million in value.
• Take full responsibility for the cost management of projects, including cost planning, forecasting, and reporting.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery and maintain positive relationships.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and statutory regulations.
• Support junior team members and provide guidance, but be expected to manage your own projects independently.
• Regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure financial and operational efficiency.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: 8+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying, with experience running your own projects.
• Background: A civil engineering background is beneficial but not essential.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, ideally within demolition or construction sectors.
• Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of cost control and budget management.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance while also being a team player when needed.

Senior Claims Broker (International Property) - Leading Lloyd's International Broker

Your new Company
Your new company is a very well established International Lloyds Broker based in the heart of the City of London. Working from their attractive and spacious offices as a Senior Claims Broker you will be the main point of contact when dealing with complex and contentious high-value International Property Claims.

Your new role
In your new role you will be handling international Property claims from cradle to grave. You will be ensuring that performance records are up to date and maintaining accurate records regularly, dealing with incoming correspondence appropriately, developing strong relationships with the market and creating comprehensive claims documents, presenting claims to underwriters, dealing with queries, providing feedback and responding appropriately to clients, insurers and relevant internal departments following up the status of the claim.

You will also be expected to keep clients and insurers informed of the developments of their claims, you will need to be capable of building relationships with clients and key stakeholders, undertaking prompt and accurate processing of collections, fee payments and other relevant data and information on company systems in order to support high levels of client service and enable completion of internal processes.

In order to be successful you will need extensive Claims experience within the International Property line of business, in-depth knowledge of the Lloyd's London Insurance market, a great knowledge of the Claims handling process and a really strong understanding of the international property market especially including who the main players in the market are and specific territory knowledge (mainly Europe, Latin America and the Middle East) in relation to the International Property class of business.

Your new Brokers hold Chartered Insurance Broker status, awarded in recognition of their commitment to maintaining highest standards in many areas. Due to the substantial growth within the Property Team a position for a Property Account Executive has arisen.

Your new role
Working as a Property Account Executive within the Property team, your role will be a varied and interesting role providing administrative and technical support to Account Executive's, Account Manager's and the Property Division Manager. This is a varied and interesting role providing technical and administrative support, with responsibility for day-to-day management and development of a portfolio of Property clients, predominantly managing agents and private landlords. You will be responsible for working alongside Account Managers and senior staff dealing with clients from inception to completion, ensuring that cover is arranged correctly to comply with the client's requirements and to disclose all material facts to underwriters when broking. This role will include maintaining clients' policy portfolios including processing renewals, new business and mid-term adjustments, as well as actively seek new business opportunities. This role will also include the preparation of technical documentation.



What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as either an Account Handler, Senior Account handler or Account Executive handling Property Owners business either from an Insurance broker or Lloyd's Broker will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have experience in the servicing of clients. You will be confident in being able to deal with clients and your experience of working in a similar role is essential. This is a superb opportunity for a confident and highly motivated individual, who is organized, can multi-task and prioritise their day. You will also have good working knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel). Ideally progression towards Dip CII but not essential

I am currently partnered with a market leading family run business based in Hull in search for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team within their Minor Works division. My client covers a diverse range of sectors including Commercial, Education, Energy, Healthcare, Education, Housing, Industrial, Leisure, Retail and Regeneration.

The Role of A Senior Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for working with the Regeneration team to deliver profitable projects within agreed timescales.

This role will report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Director and will carry out the following:

* Working within a team to successfully deliver projects ranging from £1-£10 million within a variety of sectors

* Responsibility for all commercial aspects of a project including: o Valuation of works, manage subcontract accounts and payments

o CVRs o Preparation and negotiation of final accounts, cost reporting, value engineering o Assisting the procurement department in producing robust subcontract orders

o Preparation of quantities for the Preconstruction department

o Promote commercial awareness throughout the Project team

Your role will work in close partnership with key stakeholders within the Estimating, Commercial and Construction departments to ensure projects are completed within budgets, timescales and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Requirements Of A Senior Quantity Surveyor

* Construction related qualification, preferably BSc (Hons) Degree or similar

* Strong technical skills

* Good contractual awareness, particularly in JCT and NEC forms of contract

* Excellent IT skills across core Microsoft suites and communication skills

* CSCS Card

* Full Driving Licence

Your new role
Your new job working as a Real Estate Account Executive means you will look after your allocated portfolio of Real Estate
Clients from inception to completion, as well as building effective lasting relationships and delivering growth and renewal targets. In your new role as a Real Estate Account Executive you will manage client relationships, retain and grow existing accounts, identify additional business opportunities and introduce clients to other product specialists as well as provide clients with risk consultancy advice. Other duties will include optimising solutions for customers through your knowledge of product ranges and providers. Your new role will also include managing Underwriter relationships. You will be comfortable with face to face business meetings and be credible with clients and decision makers.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience working as a Real Estate Account Executive or Senior Real Estate Account Handler, handling UK or European Property Owners / Real Estate business will contribute to your success in securing this role. Ideally, you will be Cert CI, Dip CII or Advanced Dip CII.
