Role: Construction Manager

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and strategic Construction Manager to join our client, a market leader in the water industry. This role will be based out of London, overseeing a flagship Thames Water project and providing senior leadership to ensure successful project execution.
As a Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the overall success of the project, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction, and coordinating efforts across various project teams.
Responsibilities:
- Providing senior leadership and strategic direction across all construction activities within the Thames Water project
- Ensuring exemplary safety and quality standards are upheld throughout all project phases
- Overseeing the implementation of the Business Management System (BMS) from tender handover to final completion
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams at all levels
- Ensuring optimal staffing levels and effective resource allocation for project success
- Developing and endorsing comprehensive project execution plans and construction methodologies
- Approving detailed construction plans and method statements prior to project commencement
- Managing all commercial aspects of the project, including budget control, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Coordinating with Project Managers and other senior staff to ensure project milestones are met
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary construction projects, preferably within the water industry
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in construction, engineering, or a related discipline
- Advanced Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent certification
- In-depth knowledge of Construction Contracts, particularly NEC and/or IChemE
- Strong understanding of CDM and construction Health & Safety regulations
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate large teams, manage resources effectively, and achieve strategic objectives
- Previous experience with water and wastewater treatment plants is highly advantageous
