Your new role
Are you currently a civil construction Team Leader or Supervisor looking for a permanent full-time hands-on position, or ready to step up into accepting more responsibilities and be rewarded for your civil construction experience? Then This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-known civil construction company.

Depending on your experience, you will lead a three-man crew constructing new Water and Wastewater Connections or be trained how to eventually lead a team. If successful, you will be supplied with a vehicle for transport to and from work.

Remuneration
Base $70,500 - $98,590
11% Super
Company service truck including fuel (secure parking only)

In consultation with your Works Manager, you will,
Ensure personnel and general public safety and promote the company’s Safety Policies
Manage the construction site ensuring projects meets requirements and standards
Coordinate site labour and materials
Possess leadership and decision-making skills
Manage safe equipment use to complete projects
Current white card
MR Truck licence

Preferred requirements but not essential for the right candidate:
Civil Construction qualifications equivalent to diploma
5 + years civil construction experience
Knowledge of basic levelling
Knowledge of SA Water construction practices
Locating utility services
Backhoe / Excavator ticket
Skid steer ticket
Confined space ticket
Traffic management ticket

About the role

Council is seeking a suitably qualified Senior Contract Construction Manager. Reporting to the Manager Infrastructure Delivery, the primary purpose of the role is to manage the scoping, tender documentation, procurement process and administration of medium to large scale contract construction projects of transport and infrastructure on behalf of Council.

About You

You have experience in a similar role, preferably in a Local Government environment. You are a Degree qualified Civil Engineer, Project Manager, or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years experience in the delivery of projects. You have exceptional communication skills and a report writing ability that is second to none.

You enjoy the rigour required throughout the life-span of a project from inception to reflection and are able to prepare specifications, tender documentation, project budgets and programs, and manage construction contracts with ease.

Your communication style is inclusive and your interpersonal skills demonstrate an ability, and a preference, for working collaboratively and with a united purpose.

You have knowledge and understanding of Transport for NSW Technical and Material Specifications or equivalent and a proven ability for managing and supervising contractors and consultants to achieve project targets.

• Assist in the production of cost value reports and forecast cash recovery and ensure that both are kept In line with target.
