A client within the Private Sector based in Leicestershire is currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a civil engineering environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to be the project commercial lead on one or more projects within the
operating region. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be required to provide commercial support.
for both pre and operate as the commercial lead on post-contract disciplines.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Completion of contracts within estimated financial guidelines to return maximum profit.
- Submission of interim and final accounts carried out within the required timescales for the assigned project(s).
- Ensure that company does not exceed credit limits set for the assigned project(s).
- To secure new business opportunities
- Ensure HSQE performance is within business & legislative requirements.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require a RICS-accredited Commercial / Quantity Surveying Degree as well as a valid driver's licence and the ability to drive.
The below skills would be essential for the role:
- White / Yellow CSCS Card.
- Pre and post contract experience in a civil engineering commercial role; minimum 5 years, +7 years preferred
- Demonstrable experience particularly in Civil Engineering projects.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £60,000 - £70,000 per annum.
