As an Acquisition Surveyor, you will play a vital part in managing the growth of the retail store program property portfolio. You will be:*Acquiring new sites, managing, and reviewing leases as well as managing insurance, business rates, council tax and rent payments.
*Acquire new locations plus asset manage multiple property matters per calendar year in line with the company's budgeted forecast.
*Working with other relevant departments to ensure growth aspirations are being met via acquisitions.
*Providing high level technical advise and guidance around property management

*Liaising with external parties such as local councils, fire authorities and others as applicable
*Negotiating, completing and managing the central service contracts for the business.
*Assist in the acquisition and disposal of properties.
*Develop strong working relationships with Retail Directors, so that their objectives are understood and decisions on strategy for the estate are made in a timely manner, especially in relation to lease expiry and break dates.
*Negotiate consents and permissions from 3rd parties. (Landlords, neighbours etc.)
*Provide the business with a point of reference for property matters.
*All other matters associated with the efficient property management of a portfolio of retail shops/buildings/leases.
*Develop/maintain key regional market contacts to help avoid unnecessary agent fees.
*Collate the relevant information, then present each new opportunity to the Board.
*Obtain full board approval prior to instructing Solicitors.
*Resolve and complete all legal matters in line with the company protocols.
*Provide clear communication and forecasted timelines to the business.

Your new roleThis client is looking for an experienced Commercial Assistant in Construction to be based in Lincoln on a temporary project for a minimum of 2 months.

Duties include:

1. Construction compliance knowledge and understanding.
2. Completing the monthly head count.
3. Managing access control of new contractors on the site access system.
4. Maintain site safety files on site.
5. Scanning / photocopying of documents and uploading to the site filing system.
6. Raising requisitions to the procurement team for materials as directed by site management.
