Civmec are currently seeking Fluxcore Welders and Special Class Welders with structural steel experience to join our workshop based in Henderson. These roles are Monday to Friday with weekend work available.

The Role

-Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
-Undertake and pass all necessary weld qualifications in required weld processes
-Perform the welding of steel components in all positions
-Maintain all correct consumables, feeds, amperages and pre heat in accordance with applicable weld procedures
-Perform welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG, SAW
-Weld steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel components
-Remove tack welds, clean and restore weld preparations where required

Your Background To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

-Recognised Welding Certificate
-Gantry Crane competency
-Previous records of passed welder qualifications
-Ability to complete a 4G weld test
-Minimum 3 years' experience with similar welding processes, specifications and standards is essential

Overhauling all minor and major hydraulic and mechanical components from our Hitachi construction and mining equipment range

Undertaking basic maintenance work
Conduct basic failure analysis and identify specific modes of failure
Timely and accurate completion of all relevant paperwork
Assessing component condition, developing a detailed inspection report and scope of work required including parts listing
Testing of remanufactured components, conducting quality checks and audits
Assist with the development and review of relevant safe work procedures
Providing professional and timely customer service
To be successful in this role:

A strong safety focus with a good understanding of WHS principles
You will have a relevant trade qualification ( Fitter Machinist, Motor Vehicle Mechanic, Or Diesel Mechanic )
Previous experience with the o/haul, repair and remanufacture of mechanical and hydraulic components would be advantageous but not necessary

Surveying Claims Coordinator

Have you worked in a claims department before?

The Surveying Support team are looking for an organised individual with claims experience to join them as a Claims Coordinator. Utilising your knowledge of claims management, you will effectively handle a wide range of scenarios, coordinating all involved parties throughout the lifecycle of the claim.

What will you be doing?

- Speaking and communicating with customers in order to understand their claim, plan and coordinate.
- Liaise with relevant surveyor and suppliers (where applicable) to ensure we have accurate details and progress the claim in a timely manner.
- Making informed decisions – e.g. who to send out to visit the customer to assist with their claim.
- Understanding exactly what we need from the visiting surveyor (and/or supplier) to ensure that we receive the right information to progress the claim. Whilst also being able to book in a visit.
- Reading and understanding the different reports compiled by the surveyors and issue to relevant parties within agreed timescales.
- Setting and maintaining financial reserves.

What are they looking for?

- Claims management experience, ideally in Property.
- Knowledge of the construction industry would be a big advantage.

Lead the CBE team in preparation, marking, monitoring of student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of internal and external exams, and developing and preparing a range flexible learning materials.

Required Skills and Experience:

Has relevant qualifications to degree level in Construction and the Built Environment and/or Design, Surveying qualification specialisms.
Has a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS or equivalent)
