We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Stock Condition Surveyor to undertake comprehensive stock condition surveys across Housing Plus Group’s portfolio.
The role
This role will involve capturing validated data to support our investment strategies in maintaining safety and asset quality, as well as reporting findings to meet legislative requirements.
As a Stock Condition Surveyor you will perform key building surveys, including stock condition and energy performance assessments. Your findings will validate planned component replacement programs and support the creation of detailed investment plans. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and high levels of customer care, while ensuring compliance with current regulations and legislative requirements.
What skills and experience we are looking for:
HNC in Building Construction or equivalent experience (Desirable)
Housing Health and Safety Rated System (HHSRS) experience
Excellent technical ability with knowledge of quality standards, building regulations, and planning requirements
Experience delivering key stock condition building surveys
Proven experience in achieving challenging targets and objectives
Good construction knowledge including health and safety legislation, fire safety, and CDM Regulations
Experience working with contractors and residents within the housing sector
Proven working knowledge of microsoft packages
Significant experience working on housing-related projects
Sound knowledge of domestic kitchen, bathroom, and heating installations
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills at all levels to build and maintain working relationships
Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise conflicting demands.
Full driving licence is essential for this role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Asbestos Surveyor to join our successful in-house Homes Plus Client Services Team on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in contributing to the delivery and development of our overall business objectives while upholding our group values.
The role
As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will ensure asbestos safety management requirements are met, manage statutory compliance obligations, and ensure quality assurance for work done by contractors.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Asbestos and Water Hygiene Compliance Manager, providing technical guidance and support. Responsibilities include conducting asbestos re-inspection surveys and on-site audits, with both office and site-based work. .
What skills and experience we are looking for:
To hold BOHS P402 Asbestos Surveying and Sampling or equivalent (essential)
To hold Nebosh, SSSTS, SMSTS General certificate in H&S at work or equivalent
Understanding and knowledge of building maintenance (desirable)
Current and previous experience of working in a contractor or client-based role.
Previous experience of managing contractors within the Asbestos Management field on both commercial and residential sites
Property management experience with good knowledge of property maintenance and building construction
You will have demonstrable people management experience, commercial knowledge, and compliance knowledge.
A good verbal and written communicator, a team player with demonstrable organisational skills and able to work through workflow processes accurately and in a timely manner.

Lead the CBE team in preparation, marking, monitoring of student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of internal and external exams, and developing and preparing a range flexible learning materials.

Required Skills and Experience:

Has relevant qualifications to degree level in Construction and the Built Environment and/or Design, Surveying qualification specialisms.
