SURVEYOR (PAPUA NEW GUINEA)
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Surveyor to join our team in overseeing surveying activities for our palm oil estate and the associated roadworks for our oil palm company based overseas (Papua New Guinea). The ideal candidate will be responsible for measuring and mapping the land, conducting surveys for road access, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. This role requires a blend of technical skills, project management, and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct land surveys for the palm oil estate, access roads and required infrastructures, using modern surveying equipment and software.
- Prepare and maintain accurate survey documentation, including maps, reports, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure project requirements are met.
- Analyze survey data and provide insights on land use, property boundaries, and infrastructure development.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding land use and environmental impact.
- Monitor and assess the progress of surveying and construction activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders.
- Participate in site visits and inspections as required.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of surveying technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Surveyor, preferably in agricultural or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS) and equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS) will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of land surveying principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with palm oil estate management and road construction is a plus.
- Overseas working experience and exposure to plantation industry are added advantages
- Willing to work overseas
