About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have a level 5 NVQ in Management in care or be willing to work towards achieving this. Additionally, you’ll need to have knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practice in line with CQC/CIW guidance and experience working within the care sector at management level. If you have previosly held CQC registration this would be advantageous.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

Care Workers at Level 2 implement Care Plans and report any concerns or reasons care plans cannot be followed, as well as monitoring care and welfare of citizens, recording accurate information on running records, communication books, care plans monitoring charts (e.g. weight monitoring, falls, etc.) and other written and electronic communications as required.

Care Workers at Level 2 are also expected to work and cooperate with other professionals, as well as citizens and their meaningful others, to ensure a shared approach to care and support and continuity of care and treatment

To provide safe and appropriate personalised care and support to citizens in a way that that maintains their dignity, maximises independence and gives them choice and control over the way their care is provided. This includes writing and maintaining individual person centred care plans and the administration of medication.

To work in any area of Adult Social Care, whether in the home, the community or within a Council establishment and to be prepared to work with Citizens with different and varying needs.

About the Role

About you

About the Role

HSCCs support the successful delivery of Adult Social Care (ASC) through the provision of excellent customer service to all customers (including members of the public, citizens, commissioners, health colleagues, ASC employees and other agencies). They act as point of contact for telephone, e-mail, website and written enquiries directed to the service area. They provide the team’s administrative functions processing and recording assessments and referrals.

HSCCs also send correspondence which includes legal documentation and organise, develop and maintain accurate and confidential records and filing systems.

About You

The successful candidate will provide support to various Adult Social Care Teams, which completes assessments to ensure that decisions are made in the best interests of citizens.

We are a small supportive team based at The Mary Potter Centre. The successful candidate will work closely with one other HSCCs. Hybrid working from home is available by negotiation in this role.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to assist in resolving and monitoring non-complex customer queries or complaints;
• Experience of undertaking a range of office and administrative duties including inputting referrals onto electronic systems, answering the phone and taking messages, filing, photocopying and scanning documents;
• Ability to manage your own workload;
• Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive and complex information;

Nottinghamshire Sexual Violence Support Services is the leading specialist sexual abuse charity, for over 40 years we have been passionately committed to supporting all adults living in Nottingham or Nottinghamshire, who have experienced sexual abuse, we listen, believe and support. We offer a single point of contact for survivors of sexual violence of any kind whether the abuse took place in childhood or adult life. We provide free services including counselling, group therapy, Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVA) services, telephone helpline, online and face to face services.

The Vacancy

We are looking for Peer Support Counsellor to implement, coordinate and participate in the provision of Peer Support Service within Nottinghamshire Sexual Violence Support Services and to deliver dedicated and specialised therapeutic support via face to face, online and telephone support. Job purpose

To implement, coordinate and participate in the provision of Peer Support Service. To deliver a high-quality counselling service to survivors of sexual violence (aged 18+) which is safe, ethical and effective and supports key outcomes.

Responsibilities

Promote service user leadership, ensuring that service users influence the development of the peer support service to enrich people’s journey towards recovery and life fulfilment
Manage and deliver Peer Support Groups
Support the recruitment, induction, and supervision of Peer Supporter Volunteers
Encourage Peer Supporter Volunteers and service users to meaningfully and actively participate in the development and implementation of the Peer Support Service
Managing a caseload of clients and providing short- long term counselling sessions
