The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing onsite technical support, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and customer training for radiology equipment, diagnostic monitors, nurse call systems, and operating lights. This role requires a proactive, customer-oriented professional who is adept at managing field service tasks and ensuring the operational efficiency of medical and radiology systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting for radiology equipment, diagnostic monitors, PCs, accessories, nurse call systems, and operating lights.
• Ensure quick and effective diagnosis of equipment issues and apply corrective actions to restore functionality.
• Perform monthly updates of DVD/USB counter records and log checks, obtaining customer signatures for verification and documentation purposes.
• Maintain accurate service logs and provide timely reports for all service visits.
• Provide onsite support, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for automatic DICOM DVD/USB burners and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
• Ensure the system's compliance with safety and performance standards and address issues to minimize downtime.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Ability to learn and research technical information independently.
• Basic interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with colleagues and clients.
• Reliability and strong commitment to meeting assigned responsibilities.

1. Carry out required vehicle and equipment checks. 2. Be prepared to work flexibly to ensure patients are moved in a timely, safe and dignified manner 3. Work within Contract Specific Quality Standards and ensure a high level of customer care (These standards vary from contract to contract and will be available at your base) 4. Ensure effective communication with the Control Centre, by telephone or electronic means 5. Transfer patients using equipment and skills specific to individual needs 6. Provide effective care to patients, appropriate to their requirements using available equipment. 7. Transport patients safely and considerately this will include pre-planned and ad-hoc journeys. 8. Ensure patients have a safe, smooth journey, complying with all relevant traffic legislation and driving with consideration for other road users. 9. Maintain full and accurate records and reports, including Patient Transport Records, Accident Reports, and Incident Reports etc. These may be both paper and electronic. 10. Ensure vehicles and equipment are kept in states of cleanliness and readiness. 11. Undertake required training to maintain acceptable standards and quality of care. 12. Maintain a current valid driving licence. 13. Adhere to corporate Instructions and Policies, Operational Instructions, Clinical Protocols, Quality Procedures and other verbal or written instructions. 14.
