You will be a clinical expert, have a clinical case load and support your team with their development representing advanced practice at a care group level and cancer care advanced practice at a divisional and organisational level. You will have a proven track record of effective leadership, change management and be able to work across professional and departmental boundaries. This post holder will have important responsibilities in relation to governance in advanced practice and be able to independently enact a problem-solving approach to ensure service continuity and quality improvement initiatives. The retention and ongoing development of the Cancer Care ACP team will be a key part of the role, with supervision and support of those undertaking their educational ACP pathways. Working collaboratively with the sub speciality teams to ensure that Advanced Practice is not only embraced but progressive in development of both the roles and those within them. Developing an Advanced Practice strategy internally to Cancer Care but which compliments both regional and national standards to ensure excellence. Our inpatient services are provided in six ward areas totalling 113 beds. There are two-day case units for providing day treatments in an ambulatory setting as well an Acute Oncology Service to provide care for those patients needing acute assessment and triage. In addition to our onsite units, SACT is provided in outreach locations as well as in partnership with a commercial company in patients homes. The outpatient clinics are provided in a number of locations across the trust including joint clinics with other specialties. Cancer Care provides a number of Oncologists, Haematologists and Specialist palliative Care Clinicians to the peripheral cancer units at Hampshire Hospitals, Salisbury, IOW and the Channel Islands Cancer Care also hosts the Trust wide Hospital Specialist Palliative Care and End of Life Care services.

This role is office based and involves raising purchase orders against Homecare prescriptions, receipting goods & processing invoices for payment through our JAC computer system. Other duties include looking after homecare provider statements & co-ordinating the daily emails & queries. You will also be responsible for supervising & organising the team of pharmacy support workers The ideal candidate will have:-IT experience-suitable supervisory & organisational skills-show attention to details-excellent written and verbal communication-ability to prioritise workload

Working as part of a team you will; assess patients medication brought in from home for use during their inpatient stay manage and supply patient specific medication and ward stock label, dispense and transport medication at ward level and within dispensary assess and return medication to stock and transfer medication between areas update ward plans and liaise with other Medicines Management and pharmacy staff to provide near-patient services, assisting with timely delivery of pharmacy services and patient discharges around the Trust For this role you will; need to have, or be working towards NVQ Level 2 (with a minimum of three core competencies completed) in Pharmaceutical Services or equivalent (unit 204 of NVQ 2 and hospital experience would be an advantage) be enthusiastic about working in a team, comfortable working individually and dedicated to providing the best possible service for the best possible patient outcome have experience working in pharmacy and be keen to develop and contribute to an emerging role have excellent written and verbal communication skills be self-motivated, flexible and adaptable.

KPI Care are working closely with a Childrens Residential Home provider in the Stoke-On-Trent area. We are looking for an experienced Childrens Residential Support Worker to assist the team in the delivery of quality service to meet the assured needs of children and young people.

The role as a Senior Childrens Residential Support Worker:

• To work with children and young people according to the individual’s needs, providing focussed work as planned and directed.
• To assist in the co-ordination of activities within the Unit and ensure that they are well managed and produce safe and consistent care.
• To be involved in and organise activities which are in the best interests and meet the needs of those looked after.
• To promote professionalism at all times.
• To encourage the culture of flexibility and team working amongst the workforce and be prepared to work in other homes if required.
• To be an effective role model for other members of staff.
• Participate in training courses as arranged and undertake professional training if the opportunity is offered though secondment.
• To work flexible hours including: weekends, bank holidays.
• Observe confidentiality at all times in relation to the Home and its residents, recognising the vulnerability of the residents.
