This is an exciting opportunity to join West Dunbartonshire’s Health and Social Care Partnership’s working within our Residential Services. The teams within the HSCP are fully integrated and our service benefits from having a multi-disciplinary approach to care. Queens Quay’s focus is ensuring Residents live in an environment which is warm, homely and safe, whilst promoting individuals health and well-being and independence through a co-ordinated multi- disciplinary / agency approach.
The post holder will be responsible for the management of staff and manage and co-ordinate the safe delivery and development of Queens Quay Care Home, which is an 84 bedded Residential and Respite service. They will also be responsible for the day to day management and delivery of care, ensuring the service is managed effectively and efficiently and is operating in accordance with National Care Standards, current legislation and West Dunbartonshire's policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have a strong sense of professional identity and an ability to work both independently and as part of an integrated team. We are looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated, forward thinking individual who is looking for a new challenge and has the ability to work within fast changing environment.
Substantial experience within a care environment and in a management role is essential, along with a robust knowledge of current relevant legislation. The post holder will be expected to undertake on call duties on a rotational basis. You must possess a management and a relevant care qualification.
Requirements
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
