Information about the Role:
The services have a dual purpose whereby Mental Health regulated activities run parallel to a Nursing Home environment and the services cater for the needs of both genders. The accommodation is inclusive of 18 dual registered beds for nursing care, 42 nursing care and long term rehabilitation beds and 32 short term rehabilitation beds. The clinical team also provides Outreach and Community services. All accommodation is provided in spacious rooms which are all en-suite with television lounges, dining areas and personal care facilities. Main duties of the role:-

• Exercise effective managerial and clinical leadership of ward/department staff and manage non-compliance with agreed standards in line with service polices and protocols.

• Undertake individual performance review and the identification and implementation of personal development plans for all staff. This will be achieved by undertaking supervisions and annual appraisals for your staff.

About the role

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Service Manager to join our Family Help & Safeguarding service. We firmly believe that relationship-based social work makes a real difference to the lives of children, young people and their families, and our generic Together for Families Teams, ASYE Academy Team, and Supporting Families Team all focus on delivering outstanding support to families.


Our Together for Families (TfF) Teams have been developed in order to allow children and families to benefit from the continuity of having only one social worker, and to form a relationship with that worker that promotes sustained positive change. The key focus of this role is:
Act as the data manager for RBFRS ensuring processes produce and handle data correctly and result in reliable outputs with quality assurance procedures and practice
Lead the organisation in the development of a set of useful, robust corporate and service measures, in line with the Performance Management Framework, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team. Manage the completion of relevant data returns to outside bodies and ensure that such returns are completed in accordance with guidance notes, timetables and legal requirements.

About Us:
Windsor Clinical Health Services offers a unique dual-purpose environment, combining Mental Health services with Nursing Home care. Our facility caters to both genders, providing a wide range of services including 18 dual registered nursing beds, 42 beds for nursing care and long-term rehabilitation, and 32 short-term rehabilitation beds. In addition to inpatient care, we also deliver Outreach and Community services. All accommodations are en-suite with TV lounges, dining areas, and personal care facilities.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Ward Manager to lead our dedicated team.
Main Responsibilities:

• Provide strong managerial and clinical leadership for the ward staff, ensuring compliance with service standards and policies.
• Participate in the hospital's on-call system.
• Conduct performance reviews, supervisions, and annual appraisals for staff, identifying and supporting their development.
• Lead regular ward meetings and facilitate effective communication within the team.
• Manage recruitment, retention, and development of staff, promoting the service's values and ensuring a positive reputation.
• Oversee staff sickness and absence management in line with service policies.
• Ensure duty rotas are well-structured, aligning staff skill mix with patient needs and workload demands.
• Be accountable for achieving key performance indicators related to quality, safety, and staff/patient experience.
• Report and document incidents, taking appropriate actions as needed.

Person Specification:

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active UK NMC PIN.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Ward Manager or in a similar role.
• Thorough knowledge of CQC regulations.
• Proven experience in staff management, recruitment, and team motivation.
• Strong understanding of staff induction, supervision, and appraisal processes.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a collaborative approach.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexibility and availability to share on-call responsibilities in a 24-hour environment.

About the role



We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our CSPOA team. This is a key management post with both operational and strategic responsibilities.

The postholder is responsible for delivering statutory and non-statutory services as identified including:

You will lead on the operational management of CSPoA, ensuring it delivers an effective and safe service that meets key performance requirements.




You will ensure that the Partnership team works effectively for individual children while, at the same time, developing robust and effective partnerships with schools, health colleagues and other key partners. This work will focus on reducing the escalation of need and risk while contributing to increased resilience across the partnership.




You will provide strategic leadership (alongside the Head of Service) in the development of the One Reading Children & Young People’s Partnership arrangements, including the development of the Early Help Strategy across the partnership and the engagement of partners in delivering on that strategy.




You will be wholly focused on brighter outcomes for children and young people and will be able to demonstrate how you’ve achieved this.




You will be the strategic lead for the Reducing Parental Conflict Programme, a grant funded programme funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to support the partnership to work with parents and carers where conflict features that is frequent, intense and unresolved. At this time there is a commitment for this programme from the DWP until March 2025.
