Job Summary
As a Sr BI Product Manager at HCSC, you will play a crucial role in owning and managing one or more BI solutions products. You will operate with a minimal amount of guidance and supervision, serving as the primary owner responsible for translating customer needs into BI solutions products that provide significant business value. Your responsibilities will include understanding the problem, converting into actionable solution, writing technical requirements, prioritizing development, coordinating with stakeholders, and promoting product usage across a broad audience. Additionally, you will be accountable for the successful delivery and implementation of the product. In some cases, you may assist with BI development and data engineering tasks, and you will have an indirect reporting relationship with Analytics consultants and data engineers working on the products. The goal of this role is to deliver BI solutions that can generate insights to the business and make an impact on the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply Analytics Techniques: Utilize data analysis, statistics, visualization, and other BI solutions techniques to build actionable insights from data. Goal should be the make the solution enable with minimal team involvement after moving to production.
* Solution Identification: Leverage your business domain expertise and strong communication skills to identify data-based solutions that meet customer needs effectively.
* Product Development: Develop, create, and implement BI and analytics products and processes that add value for both internal and external customers.
* Communication: Present and explain technical findings to non-technical audiences to promote data-driven decision-making across the organization.
* Product Management: Identify new data sources, drive data collection efforts, and identify use cases for existing data sources to build and enhance solution. Ensure proper documentation of steps and data sources, making the solution and processes easily understandable and maintainable.
* Awareness of Market: Brining market trends and insights to the stakeholders and product to stay current with the product capabilities and possibilities.
* Insight Generation: Ability to delve into the solution and generate actionable insights, if needed, for the business.
* Product Vision and Strategy: Define the vision and strategy for analytics and BI products based on the business’s objectives and the evolving needs of users.
* Product Roadmap: Communicate expectations to stakeholders by defining the various high-level features across time by defining and maintaining a roadmap.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to wrangle the efforts of data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, executives, customers, product, and legal/compliance so that the product can come to life.
* Prioritization: Ability to understand the need and priority of a functionality to stakeholders. Work with various stakeholders and teams to a create a unified priority list for the product team to focus on. This should be based on the delivering value, while managing the risk.
* Voice of the Customers: Serve as a proxy voice representing the collective needs of their stakeholders in all relevant meetings and prioritization decisions.
* Testing and Validation: Work closely with developers, analysts, and testers to ensure quality across each level of the DIKW (Data-Information-Knowledge-Wisdom)Pyramid .
* Measurement: Measuring the outcomes and articulating the value of the product to various levels of the organization.
* Manage the Product Life Cycle: Delivers each product phase, by guiding the work of data engineers, analysts, and scientists.
Required Job Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree and 3 years of work experience in a mathematical, statistical, computer science, engineering, physics, marketing, economics or related quantitative field OR Actuarial credential or Master’s degree and 2 years of work experience in a related quantitative field OR Ph.D. in a related quantitative field

* Must demonstrate proficiency in at least four of the following six areas: 1) data analysis and relational-style query languages; 2) machine learning and/or statistical modeling; 3) data visualization; 4) a high-level programming language; 5) distributed computing; 6) understanding of healthcare.
* Independently delivering or leading the delivery of a complex analytics or BI solutions project or product
* Ability to present and communicate to different levels of the organization.
* At least 2 years of experience with BI applications like PowerBI, Tableau.
* Experience building visualizations for different levels of organization (tactical and strategic).
Preferred Job Qualifications:
* Masters degree in a computational field, or Bachelors degree with significant healthcare experience
* Proficiency SQL
* Experience with Sales and Marketing Analytics
