We’re recruiting a Senior Accommodation Support Officer to provide support to our established team as they assist our participants with their housing needs through effective interventions.



Our team of Accommodation Support Officers work with a caseload of adult males within the criminal justice system, in either a custodial or community setting. As a senior, you’ll be on hand to provide advice and guidance to the team where needed, and we’ll ask you to take care of a small amount of our more complex cases.



We’ll need your excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with referral agencies and stakeholders. You’ll also be responsible for developing high-quality practice among the team through observing and auditing practice, and then providing coaching and mentoring workshops to enable them to develop.



Our successful candidate will ideally already have knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation or experience working within the criminal justice sector.

The Role:

In the role of a Service Delivery Manager, you will be in control of the SEN Transport and Social Care Transport Operation, including a team of 7 officers and a Principal officer. The role reports directly to the Head of Passenger Transport and Fleet
As a Service Delivery Manager, you will work on schedules and processes to ensure service users safe and efficient carriage as well as liaising with contractors, service users, parents and carers, schools, daycentres and parent forums regarding service delivery
Other management responsibilities can include ensuring all controls are in place regarding safe transport such as risk assessments and relevant equipment such as harnesses and child seats in use if appropriate along with undertaking investigatory or disciplinary hearings and grievances
As a member of the SEN and Social Care Transport team, you must comply with current legislation and policies; ensuring staff and contractors meet required safeguarding and DBS requirements as well as monitoring and updating KPIs and financial information
The Service Delivery Manager will work closely with stakeholders, including other departments, Parent & Carer forums, Transformation team and respond to complaints, appeals, freedom of information or SAR requests related to the department and will ensure invoices and spend is accurately controlled and reported

Duties
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside Specialist Tutors and a specialist team of therapists. This role involves assisting learners with their educational, communication, and therapeutic needs while encouraging positive behaviour. The college offers access to a variety of excellent facilities and partners with local charities and employers to provide enriching experiences.

Assist Specialist Tutors in delivering tailored lessons and activities that support learners with their education and development.
Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and behaviour support staff.
Provide 1:1 and group support for students with physical disabilities and learning difficulties, helping them achieve their educational goals.
Encourage independence in daily activities and promote social integration through structured routines and positive reinforcement.
Support learners with communication challenges, using specialized techniques or tools as required.
Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment, addressing any safeguarding concerns in line with school policy.
Criteria
Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools.
Willingness to work towards further qualifications.
Experience working with children or young people would be an advantage.

Description:

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Social Care Advisor to join a well established Social Care team at Wirral Council. This essential role involves handling inquiries from the public and partner agencies, offering advice and signposting to services that support child welfare. You will be the first point of contact for those raising concerns and will work closely with colleagues to ensure that callers receive the information and support they need.

Responsibilities:

• Professionally handle phone calls from the public and partner agencies, addressing concerns about child welfare.
• Provide informed advice and signpost to services outside of social care, where appropriate.
• Record incoming information accurately in the Early Help Module/Liquidlogic database, ensuring a smooth decision-making process.
• Identify high-risk inquiries and ensure they reach the appropriate qualified social worker immediately.
• Support the team by responding to routine and complex inquiries regarding children and families in line with policies and thresholds.
• Maintain confidentiality and a professional image of the service in all communications.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing supervision to ensure high standards and continuous professional development.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field or equivalent literacy and numeracy skills.
• Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an understanding of confidentiality requirements.
  • Ability to remain calm and assess information quickly to determine the best course of action.
  • Familiarity with child services, early help, and safeguarding.
  • Proficient in data entry and telephone-based communication.

• Experience:
