University Hospitals Dorset is currently looking to recruit experienced Bank Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) looking to work flexibly at across our sites in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, and enjoy a range of benefits including:

You must have:
• experience working as a healthcare support worker for a minimum of either one year in a UK nursing home or six months in an NHS acute hospital environment; AND
• experience of basic nursing care (including personal hygiene needs, dietary/nutrition requirements and manual handling assistance); AND
• at least a level 2/secondary level education in English and Maths - such as GCSEs (grades 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 or grades A*, A, B, C) or level 2 functional skills), OR a willingness to attend a face-to-face session to complete literacy and numeracy assessments, as required (date to be mutually agreed).

Successful applicants will work in a VARIETY of specialties across the Trust to cover short term needs. The role involves meeting both physical and psychological needs and therefore need to have a flexible approach working as part of a wider team.
Successful candidates must be available to attend a Mandatory Induction Programme (terms & conditions apply) which consists of ONE FULL WEEK (Monday to Friday) plus two additional recall days.
