EAL TEACHING ASSISTANT

Prospero Teaching are working with a Good Secondary School in Poole, Dorset looking for a EAL Teaching Assistant to join them in September 2024.

This position will be ideal for a recent graduate or for someone with teaching assistant experience who is looking to gain more experience in a classroom environment before embarking on a PGCE or Teaching Training.
You will be working with small groups of students to provide intervention support to EAL students, helping to raising students achievements in English language acquisition.

To hold a caseload; assess, monitor and offer advice, support and guidance to our patients and their carers and families.

The Service is a specialist team providing assessment, treatment and support for individuals suffering from organic and functional mental health illness. Experience of working with older adults with organic / functional mental illness in an inpatient or community setting would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard-working, with a positive approach to delivering high quality care to the older adult and be willing to work collaboratively with carers and other professionals. You will carry a defined caseload and manage this with the support of the team leader and the wider team.

The role:
As a Night support worker, you will play an important role in our young people’s lives, preparing them for adult life and facilitating their transition into further education, training, or employment.
