Applications are invited from GPs who would like to work sessional hours in the stand-alone Urgent Treatment Centre at Chase Farm Hospital, to commence as soon as possible. Full GMC registration is required and applicants must be on the GMC General Practice Register and the GP performers List for England. ALS certification is desirable.





The post holder will be seeing all types of patient presentations that attend the department. The remit of the UTC is to provide a walk-in facility for those with minor injuries and illnesses, however there are occasionally patients who self-present with acute or life-threatening conditions, which the post holder must feel confident in being able to assess and refer on as required. The post holder will be an experienced independent practitioner who is able to provide clinical support and expertise to the Emergency Nurse Practitioners and nursing support staff.

Our department is located in a pleasant part of north London with good transport links. The department sees around 45,000 patients per year (30% paediatric).

Shifts will be of various times and lengths between 8am and 10pm.

If you possess these qualities, or have worked in a retail, supermarket, warehouse or other customer facing environments then no experience of working as a Care Assistant is necessary. We provide you with excellent learning, development and support opportunities, to equip you with the knowledge and skills to make a real difference in the role.

To provide a pain management clinical psychology service to clients of the MSK and other teams when necessary or appropriate: providing highly specialist psychological assessment, intervention and treatment. More specifically to take a significant role in the design and delivery of an evidence-based Pain Service and in particular a Pain Management Programme incorporating assessment and/or individual work with patients where appropriate. Supervising trainee clinical psychologists and offering advice and consultation on clients psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers. Working autonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the services policies and procedures. Utilising research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service. It will be a requirement of this role to participate in job planning which forms a key part of the working practices of qualified psychological therapists.
