Provide assistance and direct support to families/carers and children in the community in line with their best interests while working within the appropriate legislative framework and Aberdeenshire Councils procedures and guidance.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Top 50 Chartered Accountancy in London for a Private Client Tax Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a mixed compliance/advisory role which will involve a high percentage of non- UK domicile cases. Running a portfolio of compliance cases along-side supporting seven private client partners with advisory work. There will also be staff management and development involved.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsibility for a mixed portfolio of personal tax clients, including specifically non-doms, HNWIs, sole-traders, partnerships, and offshore trusts.
• Assisting partners on the delivery of advisory work which will include the preparation of reports on matters such as IHT planning (including UK trusts), residence, pre-arrival planning, offshore structures (involving offshore trusts and companies) and planning work in anticipation of the new rules for non-doms from 6 April 2025.
• Preparation and attendance at both existing and potential new client meetings, setting budgets for the follow up work, and ensuring the work is carried out in a timely manner and within budget.
• Liaising with clients on routine and ad-hoc assignments including correspondence by email, telephone and face to face meetings. Matters to include inheritance tax, income tax and capital gains tax.
• Correspondence with HMRC in relation to s9A enquiries and preparing disclosures under the digital disclosure facility.
• Overseeing the collation of all the information needed to prepare the tax return involving liaising with other third-party professionals and the clients themselves.
• Dealing with all aspects of income tax (including National Insurance) and capital gains tax including reviewing PAYE coding notices where appropriate.
• Reviewing tax returns prepared by other members of staff for approval by the client and for then electronically filing them.
• Promptly dealing with routine post received in connection with those clients.
• Prioritising and organising own work to ensure consistently high standard of client care and to meet HMRC deadlines - working without supervision and to show initiative in dealing with clients' affairs.
• Billing clients on a quarterly basis, including making reserves and keeping partners up to date with any billing concerns.

Candidate Criteria

• CTA Qualified is an essential requirement
• Minim of 5 years Private Client Tax experience
• Experience and up-to-date knowledge is required of non-doms and offshore structures
• Client facing experience is required including being comfortable speaking to and meeting with clients on a regular basis
• Working knowledge of CCH packages and good organisational skills are key
• Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team.

The firm are looking for someone to become a key member of our Trust Team, reporting directly to Directors and Partners and looking after an interesting and varied portfolio that includes charitable trusts.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for an interesting and varied portfolio of UK resident and charitable trusts, including ensuring key deadlines for annual accounts and tax compliance are met.

What does a live-in carer do?
As a live-in care assistant in Scotland, you’ll provide personalised care that enables clients to stay in their own homes. We offer flexible rota patterns to help you balance work and personal life, and we welcome carers with at least six months of professional experience. You’ll stay with your client during your chosen rota pattern, caring for one person (or sometimes a couple) and following a tailored care plan. Duties include daily activities, personal care, condition management, and household tasks. You’ll typically work an average of 8–10 hours per day, with daily rates based on hours worked.

The role

Real Life Options is a registered charity currently going through a period of growth, and we are continuing to search for permanent contracted Support Workers who really want to make an impact on the lives of the people we support.

We deliver creative, dynamic and person-centred services providing a range of individualised support. For this role you would be required to support one young man in supported living. As a Support Worker you will help promote and maintain independence and assist with daily living tasks which may include: domestic tasks, assisting with mail, bills, and maintaining tenancy. You will also be prompting and providing personal care. There is medication support which is a very important part of this role and the successful applicant would be expected to undertake annual competencies/training as required.

The young man is non-verbal and uses pictures to aid in his communication with staff, experience of this would be highly desirable, however full training will be provided.

There can be challenging behaviour involved, any candidate that applied should have previous experience with challenging behaviour and how to manage this, such as de-escalation training and/or experience with Positive Behaviour Support Plans. There will be extensive challenging behaviour training in place for successful candidates. The service is staffed at a 3:1 ratio so there are always 3 staff on at any one time.

The young gentleman has a very active social life and attends many activities in the local community such as swimming, bowling and attending clubs. The ability to swim is desirable in order to support him in the pool. You will also be required to support to respond to, and attend medical appointments. A Driver is required as you will be driving the young man’s car for activities

An Enhanced Adult PVG is required for this role.

Support Worker - Inverurie

Full time and Part time hours available- £12.00 per hour

Drivers Preferred- Please note that due to the location of service drivers are preferred for this role due to there being limited public transport and routes none being available during shift times.

Ideal for anyone living local to Inverurie or neighbouring towns such as; Westhill, Huntley & Insch.

There are many different shifts available however the most common are: 7.30am-3pm, 3pm-10pm and 12pm-9pm. Our service also requires sleepover shifts- these are paid hourly.

We are looking for caring, trustworthy and positive individuals whose personality and values match the environment of our service. Every day is different, as we promote our service users to make their own choices and live as independently as possible. The role is extremely rewarding and you can really make a difference.

About the role:

Our service is better described as a happy and wholesome community with most service users having been neighbours for a considerable time. Most of the services are based at one complex in Macduff which adds to the community feel and the connections that are built. We have a very settled and happy staff team, many who have been with us for between 20 and 30 years and have a vast amount of knowledge and experience of working with the people we support.

Our service users enjoy each other’s company when they have the opportunity to meet at the events which are organised at the hub. Although most live in single tenancies there are groups of people we support who have shared interests, they enjoy meeting and doing activities with their friendship group.

Support Worker- Macduff

Full time, part time and relief positions available

We are looking for caring, trustworthy and positive individuals whose personality and values match the environment of our service. Every day is different, as we promote our service users to make their own choices and live as independently as possible. The role is extremely rewarding and you can really make a difference.

Our service is better described as a happy and wholesome community with most service users having been neighbours for a considerable time. Most of the services are based at one complex in Macduff which adds to the community feel and the connections that are built. We have a very settled and happy staff team, many who have been with us for between 20 and 30 years and have a vast amount of knowledge and experience of working with the people we support.

Our service users enjoy each other’s company when they have the opportunity to meet at the events which are organised at the hub. Although most live in single tenancies there are groups of PWS who have shared interests, they enjoy meeting and doing activities with their friendship group.

At Real Life Options support is uniquely tailored to each individual to live the life they choose. Service users are supported with their everyday household tasks, personal care, banking, shopping and using community resources such as cafes and pubs. Social engagement and leisure activities are also important to our service users who particular enjoy the Cinema, theatre, live music gigs, swimming, dances, bus trips, horse riding, sports events and more!

Shifts are arranged on a rota system and are generally: 8:00am-5:00pm, 9:00am-4:00pm, 9:00am-3:00pm and 3:00pm-10:00pm (please note this is not an exhaustive list, we do require candidates with flexible availability; there may also potentially be sleepover shifts once experience is gained in service).

An enhanced adult PVG is required for this role.
