We are looking for passionate Residential Support Workers to join one of our homes in Southampton. You will be a part of a team that provide flexible and individual care packages towards all our children and young adults. All staff are trained in 'Developmental Trauma' and therapeutic parenting to best aid your understanding and ability to provide young people with the best support possible.

Main Duties and Requirements:

• Experience of working with children and young people as well as understanding of the issues that face young people in care
• Flexibility in your availability as you will be required to work 7 x 24 hour shifts including sleep ins over a 3 week rotation- 09:00am- 09:30am the following day

Southamptons PICU is linked to the Southampton Oxford Retrieval Service (SORT) who retrieves critically ill children from 27 District General Hospitals in the South of England. The Technologist team are an integral part of SORT and our duties include: blue light ambulance driving and helicopter or fixed wing flight retrievals to Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Wight. What does a live-in carer do?
As a professional live-in carer in the South West of England, you’ll provide personalised care that enables clients to stay in their own homes. We offer flexible rota patterns to help you balance work and personal life, and we welcome carers with at least six months of professional experience. You’ll stay with your client during your chosen rota pattern, caring for one person (or sometimes a couple) and following a tailored care plan. Key Responsibilities: This role is vital to the success of the projects providing leadership and inspiration to the staff and encouraging an enabling environment, leading in psychologically informed practice within the values of The Salvation Army. The role requires liaison with the Local Authority Commissioners and pathway co-ordinator, as well as other agencies.
