Your Duties...


Work with the Home Manager and Head of Dementia & Wellbeing to engage with and implement Advinia’s Wellbeing and Engagement Programme - S.P.E.C.S.
Design and organise, in conjunction with Residents, a range of person-centred stimulating meaningful and engaging activities within the Home.
Develop, manage and coordinate new and ongoing meaningful engagement programmes that encourage Residents to maintain pre-existing interests and hobbies.
Encourage Colleagues, Residents, Relatives and Friends to participate in the Home's meaningful engagement programme and help to embed a whole home approach to activities.
Arrange trips and outings to enable Residents to engage in offsite activities to maintain their hobbies and interests.
Support with creating an engaging and stimulating environment throughout the Home that is appropriate to the needs of Residents.
In conjunction with the Home Manager agree and undertake fundraising opportunities to supplement activities budget.

He spends days by going for trips to seaside, having coffee at his favourire coffee shop. His other intrests are gardening, cooking, watching movies and listening to his favourites music artists like Bob Marley, Moor 5 or Coldplay just to name the few!

We don't wear uniforms (it's friendlier that way) but you must be prepared to roll up your sleeves to cook in the kitchen, support with shopping, housework including cleaning, medication, laundry and personal care.

Main Duties and Responsibilities To deputise for the Mortuary and Bereavement Service Manager Organisation and participate in routine and specialised post mortem provision ensuring HTA and UKAS compliance at all times. Organisation and participation in all other aspects of mortuary and bereavement services ensuring the effective, professional, cost effective service. Overseeing the day to day running of the mortuary and bereavement office. To manage the bereavement supervisor and ensure the smooth running of the service in accordance with KCH guidelines and recommendations. Liaison with external agencies including the Coroners office, Police, GPs, Treasury Solicitors, councils and financial institutions. Ensure efficient and professional liaison with clinical, nursing and clerical staff and all other Trust staff To work with the Service Manager in ensuring that all SOPs, risk assessments and audits are undertaken and updated as in line with departmental, Trust and HTA policies. Management and Leadership The post holder will support the service manager in ensuring that the mortuary and bereavement service delivers a quality and responsive service to Kings NHS Foundation Trust and associated stakeholders and partners. Staff Management Responsible in conjunction with the service manager for senior APTs, APT, trainees and bereavement staff within the mortuary and bereavement services. Set objectives and review performance of staff, identifying individual training and development needs and promote continued personal and professional development. Assist the service manager to manage sickness, disciplinary and performance issues in line with Trust policies. Ensure compliance with all relevant Trust policies and standing financial instructions. Ensure effective workplace planning, anticipate staff shortages and take action to minimise the impact of these on service delivery. Main Duties and Responsibilities CLINICAL AND PROFESSIONAL To take overall responsibility for the efficient, effective and safe management of all patients referred to their teams. To work at an advanced level by receiving referrals, undertaking full assessment and independently diagnosing and then planning individual, specialized, evidence-based, treatment programmes for patients appropriately depending on the physiotherapists diagnosis, using advanced clinical reasoning and a variety of evidence-based, expert skills such as use of therapy handling skills, respiratory and ventilator adjuncts, tracheostomy management, acute rehabilitation skills, and discharge planning. To carry a significant clinical caseload including highly complex and diverse patient groups such as patients with multi- organ failure, sepsis, acute respiratory deterioration dementia, taking into account the multiple co-morbidities. To be the clinical expert in the team. To prioritise work efficiently taking into account clinical and service priorities using expert knowledge to underpin decisions and request, in conjunction with medical colleagues, specialist investigations such as CT and MRI and act on the interpretation of the results. Communication To be able to persuade and motivate patients through effective communication skills. Provide patients, families and other carers with expert advice or instruction to promote the understanding of the aims of physiotherapy and to ensure consistent patient management. To provide and receive information from patients, carers and other professionals regarding a patients condition and treatment progress. This will include the sharing and receiving of highly complex and/or sensitive information or details of prognosis/disability that maybe unwelcome. To communicate effectively with patients and carers to maximize rehabilitation potential and to improve understanding of the condition which will require the appropriate response to the patients level of communication, facilitating the best possible communication outcome e.g. use of interpreters.
