We will help support you to reach your full potential by providing you with all the necessary training, guidance and support you need to complete your care certificate and further qualifications.
You must have a big smile that will make each person's face light up when they welcome you at the door. As each day is varied, you'll need to think on your feet, having a good pair of eyes and ears are essential. Ears to listen to a lifetime's worth of stories, and eyes to open new opportunities in their life.
You will be supporting 9 people of various ages to enjoy the things they love most. Whether that's getting up early for a swim or gym session, off to the farm to visit their favourite animals or visiting museums or trying their luck at bowling - Each day is different!
You may become a main supporter for one of the gentlemen who, with your support lives his best life - the life he chooses to live! This gentlman would love you to be positive, interactive and engaging. Good sense of humour and "getting" jokes is a must as this gentlaman likes to jokes a lot! He spends days by going for trips to seaside, having coffee at his favourire coffee shop. His other intrests are gardening, cooking, watching movies and listening to his favourites music artists like Bob Marley, Moor 5 or Coldplay just to name the few!
Prior experience and knowledge of how to support people with disabilities is prefrred!
We don't wear uniforms (it's friendlier that way) but you must be prepared to roll up your sleeves to cook in the kitchen, support with shopping, housework including cleaning, medication, laundry and personal care.
