• Graduate Learning Support Assistant
• Full-time, long-term role starting in September 2024
• Earn up to £470 per week as a Graduate Learning Support Assistant
• Mon-Fri, 32,5 hours per week (term-time only)
• Fully inclusive school located near central Newcastle
• Work 1:1 and in small group lessons focusing on a range of tailor-made needs
• Children aged 11-16 with a range of learning needs
• Perfect experience for aspiring teachers, speech and language therapists, or educational psychologists
• Graduates of Education, Psychology and other core-subject related degrees are welcome to apply
• Previous SEN experience is preferred but not essential
As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers and other education support staff to promote personalised learning and support for all students. The school offers designated learning areas for students requiring additional support, and advanced, tailor-made tuition in the Learning Support Department, with regular assessment to review and plan support for students in need.
The school is located near central Newcastle, a commutable distance from nearby the city, with excellent transport links and main roads directing towards the school. The school welcomes students with varying needs; it provides a rewarding work environment and is recognised by the local community for the support it provides to its students.
Although applicant SEN experience is preferred, the school offers training to facilitate appropriate support for its students, and is looking for the right individual for the role; someone passionate about getting involved, working with SEN students to make a difference to their lives whilst developing their own skillset.
