The will be expected to: Demonstrate ability to effectively support the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training. To support the Trust to achieve best practice in the training and development of staff in caring for patients with Learning Disability and Autism L&A) Keeps up to date with current and emerging thinking in health and social care practice, associated with learning disability, mental health and autism . Develop teams and team working by providing a team facilitation service. Be the lead for LD & A training programmes and initiatives. Support our Learning Disability and Autism Liaison Nurses to deliver, evaluate and analyse training for staff within NBT. When training, promotes the principles of safeguarding from the Care Act 2014 and support staff to develop skills in MCA and BI decisions and signposts to the mandatory training provided by the integrated safeguarding team. Support the Associate Chief Nursing officer for MH, LD&N, and the mental Health Matron to develop and oversee a work plan for the delivery of the Mental Health Strategy. Act as a mentor/supervisor to less and more experienced members of staff across the trust in the area of learning Disability and Autism. Offer support and advice and supervision to new and more junior members of the team. Promote peoples equality diversity and rights in all education programmes.
