The Senior Learning & Development (L&D) Consultant plays a key role in shaping the educational and developmental landscape of the business. As an expert in leadership and management development, this role is responsible for the design and deployment of learning interventions to support the management population across Capita Health & Welfare (H&W).
With responsibility for a small team of L&D Consultants, the Senior L&D Consultant leads the scoping, design, delivery and evaluation of a range of high-quality learning programmes for first line to senior managers. Focused on providing learning in support of the effectiveness and performance of the management teams, the post holder will need to work collaboratively across the business with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the changing requirements of the business are met through a structured framework of innovative and engaging learning opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
• Lead, manage and guide a small team of L&D Consultants responsible for management and leadership development across multiple H&W contracts
• Consult and collaborate with senior leaders, managers and key stakeholders to assess, identify and meet individual and team development needs
• Conduct detailed Learning Needs Analyses (LNA) across the management population and formulate comprehensive training plans based on the findings
• Design and develop bespoke high impact blended learning solutions that will increase managerial capability and leadership effectiveness
• Align learning and development initiatives with Group P&D training provision and Capita's strategic goals to ensure that learning interventions support overall business objectives
• Implement evaluation measures that determine the effectiveness of learning interventions against identified learning outcomes, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement
• Provide accurate data and reporting to key stakeholders and clients as required, including contractual reports
• Lead on the introduction of new learning technologies and methodologies to enhance the training experience and support application of learning
• Support a culture of continuous learning and professional development within both L&D and the management population
• Provide support on delivery of strategic projects and initiatives as required
What we're looking for:
• Minimum 5 years experience in a Learning and Development role.
• Deep understanding of modern learning and development principles and practices
• Proven track record of multi-format L&D design and delivery, including digital and virtual content - specifically in the leadership, management & coaching field
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, able to take the lead during a period of transformation and effectively navigate change
• Advanced presentation and facilitation skills, with experience of using psychometric and profiling tools to support individual, team and organisational development
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to gather and interpret data (including Learning Needs Analysis) to evidence quality, achievements and identify improvements
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and leads by example in delivering to a high standard of quality
• Experience in managing a team
• Experience of Psychometric and profiling tools desirable
