We are looking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology to contribute to teaching on our BPS accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Psychology. We are specifically looking for a new member of staff to teach forensic psychology to our growing numbers of students at levels 6 and 7. We are a large psychology department offering BPS Accredited programmes in Psychology [UG}, MSc Health Psychology, MSc Forensic and Investigative Psychology, Prof Doc Health Psychology and PWP training at levels 6 &7. Alongside we offer MScs in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Brain and Behaviour and Positive Psychology and Wellbeing. Following a successful recruitment cycle, this post will help ensure we uphold our excellent staff student ratios with expanding student numbers and continue to build on our delivery of excellent teaching and research in Psychology.

The School has a thriving and vibrant research culture and outstanding teaching and research facilities. The vast majority of our staff are research active. We submitted over 42 FTE staff to REF2021, increased our Research Power (from 27 in 2014 to 76 in 2021) and were ranked 37 out of 93 Institutions for Research Power. We anticipate a larger submission to the next REF. Staff in the department currently hold substantial research grants from funders including Euro EU Chanse, Wellcome, NIHR, ESRC, BA, NHS Trusts, and a range of charitable organisations. Since REF2021, the school has produced over 700 publications and almost 6000 citations, reflecting the value and reach of our scholarly output.

You will hold a relevant undergraduate degree with QTS, or PGCE (QTS) with a track record of successful Art and Design teaching in a Secondary school and preferably a second subject specialism, along with experience at teaching undergraduate level and above - or delivering equivalent relevant professional training and development. The School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment, within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, now seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer or Senior Teaching Fellow in Building Surveying. The key responsibilities of this position revolve around delivering comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate education in the realms of Building Surveying and the broader Property discipline. Ideally, you will exhibit a robust background in either Dilapidations Building Pathology and/or Sustainable Technologies.

In addition to you teaching commitments, you will be encouraged to participate in research endeavours and make substantial contributions to the academic pursuits of the School. Furthermore, you will have active involvement in the development and execution of outreach programs, engagement initiatives, and collaborative interdisciplinary projects.

You should be a seasoned commercial Chartered Surveyor with proven hands-on experience within the UK property market. Additionally, you should hold chartered membership with a relevant professional body, such as the RICS. It will also be essential that you have firm grasp of the British education system, and while a PhD is not obligatory, it is highly desirable.

The School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment is now looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to join us as Senior Lecturer or Senior Teaching Fellow in Quantity Surveying. You will deliver high-quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a strong emphasis on measurement/costing and contract administration competencies. You will be responsible for ensuring the curriculum remains current and industry-relevant by incorporating innovative teaching methods to engage and inspire students. Providing academic support and mentorship to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment is essential.

For both positions you must demonstrate a strong background in quantity surveying and have a willingness to integrate cutting-edge digital technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) and automated quantity take-off software like CostX. It is desired that you have an interest in the gamification of education and an openness to teach using immersive technologies to enhance student engagement. Developing and maintaining strong links with industry partners to ensure that course content reflects current industry practices and trends is crucial.

For the Senior Lecturer position, it is essential that you either hold or are nearing the completion of a PhD or possess substantial industry experience coupled with chartered membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., RICS). In this role, you will engage in research activities that enhances the School's academic reputation, collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and seeking opportunities for external funding.

For the Senior Teaching Fellow position, you must have relevant industry experience or teaching experience in higher education. Professional body membership is also desirable. In this position, you will engage in pedagogical research that will lead to innovative classroom methods and enhancing the overall learning experience. Additionally, you will be required to contribute to the development and delivery of programmes in the Degree Apprenticeship provision of the School.

Regardless of position, you should be dedicated to connecting theory with practice in the teaching of quantity surveying and committed to promoting equality and diversity within the School and University. A willingness to engage in outreach and engagement initiatives is also essential, ensuring that the educational experience remains enriching and supportive for all students. Additional administrative tasks will be necessary to ensure the smooth running of the School.

We are now looking for an experienced and motivated educator to join a dynamic and innovative Simulation Team on a full-time, permanent basis. You should be passionate and enthusiastic about working with students, other academics, clinical technicians, and simulation facilitators in the design and delivery of simulation-based education programmes throughout the Faculty of Health. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.

Utilising your experience of curriculum and programme design, you will influence the development of simulation-based activities across the Faculty and provide guidance for identified research opportunities. You will work as part of a vibrant team, where your ideas are valued, and creativity is encouraged.
