Head of Religious Education - Role:
- Lead and manage the Religious Education department, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement an innovative and inclusive RE curriculum that reflects the diverse religious traditions and secular perspectives.
- Foster a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student engagement and curiosity.
- Mentor and support RE teachers, providing professional development opportunities to enhance their teaching practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to integrate religious and ethical perspectives into the broader curriculum.
- Engage with parents, guardians, and the wider community to promote understanding and support for the RE program.
Head of Religious Education - Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent certification.
- Holds a degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field.
- Has a strong track record of successful teaching experience, preferably in a leadership role.
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of world religions, religious philosophies, and ethical frameworks.
- Exhibits outstanding leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the RE curriculum and the school community.
- Possesses a passion for education and a deep commitment to the personal and spiritual development of students.
