This Children's Residential Home is located close to the picturesque Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, but right in the middle of both Stevenage & Cambridge. Commutable from nearby towns such as Stevenage, Hitchin, Baldock, Melbourn, Shepreth, Foxton, Great Shelford and surrounding areas.
Salary & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: £14.45 - £15.77
Annual Salary: £24,000 - £26,300
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 32 Hours per week, working shifts
Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days, including Bank Holidays
Training & Development: Fully funded training, qualifications, and DBS

This position would be working within a Children & Younger Adults, Residential Children's Homes. This Residential Home supports Children from the age of 6 up to the age of 19 who have communication difficulties as a result of conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism and degenerative disorders. Key Responsibilities:
Join a dedicated team as a Residential Team Leader in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Foster a caring and stable environment that prioritizes the health, safety, and welfare of our young residents.
Support the Care Managers by leading, motivating, and coaching a team of support workers and senior support workers.
Ensure the provision of both physical and emotional support to the children and young people in residential settings and during off-site activities such as health appointments, family visits, and recreational trips.
Oversee the induction, mentoring, and development of new team members, ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements.
Conduct regular supervisions and manage performance issues within your team.
Coordinate and delegate activities effectively, ensuring the efficient implementation of individual care plans.
Maintain up-to-date documentation and undertake sleeping-in duties, waking night duties, and on-call responsibilities as required.
Participate in physical interventions and provide personal care when necessary.
Essential Criteria:
Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Previous experience in shift/team leading or a supervisory role.
Excellent communication, organizational skills, and ability to lead and motivate a team.
Ensure the completion and delegation of activities.
Manage the implementation of care plans, and maintain thorough documentation
A willingness to perform sleeping-in duties, waking night duties, and on-call responsibilities as needed
Physical Participation: Ability to engage in physical intervention and personal care tasks
Compliance:
Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
