Because we’re growing, we’re looking for a Remote Technical and Operations Training Manager to join our team to manage the production and implementation of our internal and client-facing training programs. The primary responsibility of the Training Manager is to manage the training program of new team members, and to assist with creating, monitoring, and reporting on training plans for the team’s career development.
You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in training and development management. You also must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate extraordinary attention to detail. Accuracy is valued over speed in our company. Please only apply if you have experience in training.
This is a full-time position of approximately 40 hours a week. The expectation is that the majority of your hours worked would be Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time to collaborate with our team, clients, and US vendors. Your schedule may fluctuate. Work outside of these hours may be required for emergencies, projects, and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:
Note: This is the initial list for this position. Other tasks will be added as this individual’s skill level increases.
- Develop and maintain company’s operations manual across all departments.
- Identify requirements for, present options for approval, and implement a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Develop new team member onboarding instructional path using vendor provided and internally developed training materials.
- Prepare and deliver recorded training courses, including reorganizing and continually updating content to maintain value and relevance.
- Identify training needs according to the company’s current operational requirements and future goals.
- Plan and implement training programs that will prepare employees for the next step of their career paths.
- Lead, teach, recruit, onboard, and manage new trainers and writers as needed.
- Build quarterly and annual training programs.
- Prepare and report on budget for training programs.
- Evaluate employees and identify weaknesses, oversee employee attendance and performance, and track and report on employee success and progress.
- Prepare and present reports on training program KPIs.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills Required:
- Proven work experience as a Training Manager and/or Instructional Designer.
- Track record in designing and executing successful training programs.
- Familiarity with modern methods and tools for training a remote workforce.
- Familiarity with computer, network, and cloud systems and terminology.
- Familiarity with general business principles, such as bookkeeping and marketing & sales.
- Experience managing an LMS.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals.
- Good computer and database skills.
- Relevant qualification in education, human resources, or other applicable field.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer, including VoIP phone calls and video meetings.
Other Requirements:
- You will need to provide your own computer that is running a currently supported version of Microsoft Windows.
- Allow us to install software on your computer that keeps it up to date with security patches and anti-virus because we work with heavily regulated industries in the United States. Security precautions are paramount for us.
- Having consistent electricity and/or backup batteries to work a full day is essential.
- Have a quality headset that connects to your computer to use our VoIP phone system to communicate with our team and clients without echoes or feedback.
- Have internet access of at least 20 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds to work with our systems.
- Have at least two standard size (1080p) or better monitors/screens.
Professional Development:
The person hired into this role has the opportunity to grow into HR Manager, Director of HR, or Chief Human Resources Officer.
While this role is a full-time, freelancer/contractor role, CG Tech Services provides 7 paid US holidays and a Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit.
Compensation:
Compensation for our remote team can be paid in US Dollars or your local currency. Pay is either hourly or a fixed semi-monthly rate, depending on experience and qualifications.
