Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services (CWPS) is a large, long standing Pathology Network in the South Midlands, and our Cellular Pathology services are across two main sites; University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust in Coventry and South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust in Warwick.

The Histopathology Department is run by over 120 staff members who provide dissection, microtomy, molecular and immunohistochemistry services as well as reporting and clinical advice from University Hospital Coventry. Sub-specialities within Histopathology include Breast, Gynaecology, Dermatology, Colorectal and Respiratory among others. Mortuary services are also provided across both sites.

As departmental Training Section Manager, you will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of all elements of the departmental training program.

We are in the process of updating our equipment and we offer a large repertoire of tests across the two sites. Therefore, there is an opportunity to engage with this on-going transformation of the service and as departmental Training Lead, you will be pivotal in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of the services as part of the Section Manager team.

he Faculty of Life Sciences and Education (FLSE) is one of three faculties at USW. The Faculty offers courses in subject areas such as Nursing, Education, Psychology, Policing & Criminology, Allied Health and Sport and supports over 12,000 students across multiple locations.We are seeking to appoint a Head of Subject for Education to be a member of the faculty leadership team to lead the subject, develop its portfolio and grow student numbers while driving forward excellence in student outcomes. 1. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure training meets Trust and NHS policies, and legislation where appropriate. 2. Responsible for the development and maintenance of innovative forms of training/learning material taking full advantage of all technologies available, including blended learning approaches. 6. Responsible for invigilation, marking and assessment of competencies in order that access to clinical systems is only granted to staff who have demonstrated an appropriate level of understanding. 7. Responsible for the introduction of a one-stop help facility within ICT Training to support users who need additional support to be able to achieve what they need to do using the applications available to them 8. Responsible for managing the development and maintenance of standard procedures and instructions for the delivery of training 9. Deputising for the IT Training Manager as and when required. About the role

You will exercise dynamic leadership of the School and to ensure the full development of the vision for the service, its promotion and continuous improvement. You will create and maintain a Centre of Excellence in the education of our students.

You will create a shared vision and strategic plan which inspires and motivates pupils, staff and all other members of the school community. This vision should express core educational values and moral purpose and be inclusive of stakeholders’ values and beliefs. The strategic planning process is critical to sustaining school improvement and ensuring that the school moves forward for the benefit of its pupils.

You will work in collaboration with other senior managers, to provide a complete service and to develop and grow the wider services offered by the Centre to encourage an increase in referrals.
