• Serves as legislative adviser to AU Commander. Advises the AU/CC on plans, policy, or procedure issues or other matters, which are associated with, or result from constituent concerns. Designs courses of action designed to improve these relations.
• Directs legislative correspondence. Serves as the senior AU representative for requests for information from state and local government elected officials and agencies, Congressional offices, OSD, the White House, and other military departments. Guides the formulation of official responses to written and telephonic requests for information and solves specialized problems on behalf of the AU/CC.
• Oversees Congressional and local governmental official visits. Responsible for all aspects of congressional visits/hearings by AU/CC and senior staff or when elected officials tour AU facilities or organizations.
