We are seeking to appoint a talented teacher of PE to teach around 0.4 of a timetable which will have allocated PPA time. The remainder of the timetable is to work as a cover supervisor. SEN Learning Support Assistant

The Role:

As a learning support assistant you will be required to support pupils with additional needs to promote their learning and development in a school for pupils with generic learning difficulties that provides high quality special education for boys and girls aged 2-19. As a learning support assistant, your role is to provide general classroom support whilst delivering high quality interventions be it in small groups or 1:1 basis. You will need to be able to deal in high pressured situations in a calm and professional manner whilst nurturing each pupils needs. Firesafe in Blackpool are recruiting for an Apprentice Warehouse Operative. The successful candidate will work towards their Level 2 Warehouse and Logistics qualification which will take approximately 14 months to complete.

Duties:
• Work activities include taking deliveries
• Checking for damaged / missing items
• Storing goods and moving stock by various methods
• Picking and packing orders
• Loading goods for dispatch
• Maintaining stock records and documentation
• General cleaning duties involved
• Required to safely use a range of equipment which could include materials handling equipment (MHE) or fork lift trucks
• Working in a dedicated team looking after Customer returns including basic testing of CCTV equipment, Emergency Lighting amongst other items.

Requirements:

We are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to work at schools.

Are you an experienced teaching assistant, higher learning teaching assistant, or a learning support assistant?

Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

Supporting the teacher with the delivery of the lesson
Preparing the classroom for lessons, such as setting up equipment
Managing behaviour and engaging students with their own learning
Working with students either one to one or in small groups out of the classroom
Committed to support both the teacher and the students to succeed
For this role, applicants who apply will have:

A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Supporting Teaching and Learning) or a minimum of 1 years work experience/employment as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting (you must be able to provide recent references).
Confident communication skills and to be a motivator in the classroom (1-2-1 or small group support).
A current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or you will be prepared to apply for a new DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
