Our client are a large primary school in Leigh, Wigan, who are seeking a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Support Teaching Assistant to work with an autistic pupil, providing them with tailored support and guidance.

About the Role:
- You will provide 1:1 support to an autistic pupil, working closely with the class teacher and other professionals.
- You will implement individualised support plans designed to meet the pupil's specific needs and encourage their progress.
- You will use your knowledge of strategies and techniques for supporting autistic students to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- You will foster a strong and trusting relationship with the pupil, promoting their emotional well-being and academic success.

Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
- Proven experience of working with children with autism

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children
Details:
- Full-time position
- Working hours: 8:45 am - 3:15 pm, Monday to Friday
- Start date: January 2025
