Our client are a large primary school in Leigh, Wigan, who are seeking a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Support Teaching Assistant to work with an autistic pupil, providing them with tailored support and guidance.

About the Role:

• You will provide 1:1 support to an autistic pupil, working closely with the class teacher and other professionals.
• You will implement individualised support plans designed to meet the pupil's specific needs and encourage their progress.
• You will use your knowledge of strategies and techniques for supporting autistic students to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
• You will foster a strong and trusting relationship with the pupil, promoting their emotional well-being and academic success.

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
• Proven experience of working with children with autism

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children

Details:

• Full-time position
• Working hours: 8:45 am - 3:15 pm, Monday to Friday
• Start date: January 2025

Further details about the role

Our school is looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to join our staff. This position will initially be in Foundation Stage One in the Early Years.

You will need to be caring, enthusiastic, creative and highly motivated to join our team.

The post is for a fixed term contract covering the Spring and Summer Terms and is suitable for Early Careers Teachers or teachers on Main Scale 3-4. There is the possibility of this position becoming permanent.
