An Introduction to the EMHP Programme at UEA The EMHP Programme at UEA uses blended learning, comprised of face-to-face teaching at UEA and online teaching, self-directed study days and supervised practice within employing MHSTs to allow trainees to develop the required clinical competence and confidence relevant to the role of an EMHP. Our team have extensive experience of working psychologically with children and young people across a range of settings and interventions. The teaching team includes lecturers with experience of delivering low intensity mental health interventions - who can use their experience to support, model and teach these skills positively alongside those with expertise in the field of children and young peoples mental health and education. We also use a range of external Associate Tutors and Guest lecturers to support teaching. Throughout the year are a range of assessments and assignments to demonstrate learning outcomes and assess clinical skills and competency. In addition to learning the theory and practice for delivering evidence-based low intensity assessments and treatments for children and young people, taught modules will cover how to work in, understand the processes of, and engage with education settings. This is afull-time training programme which requires the successful completion of each of the 6 modules outlined below, as well as a portfolio evidencing clinical practice competencies Module 1 Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Settings: Context and Values Module 2 Assessment & Engagement Module 3 Evidence-based Interventions for Common Mental Health Problems with Children and Young People (Theory and Skills) Module 4 Working, Assessing and Engaging in Educational Settings Module 5 Common Problems and Processes in Educational Settings Module 6 Interventions for Emerging Mental Health Difficulties in Educational Settings On successful completion of the course, trainees will qualify as an Educational Mental Health Practitioner with a Diploma / PG Diploma (120 credits). The Head of Education and Community Engagement is responsible for leading the Trust’s efforts to inspire and mobilise communities across Essex. This role involves strategic oversight of the Education Team (Wilder Learning), Community Team (Team Wilder) and the Trust’s Local Groups, ensuring the delivery of impactful education and engagement initiatives aligned with the Trust’s Strategic Plan. The goal is to foster a lifelong love of nature and activate community conservation efforts with a vision of engaging one in four people by 2030.

The post holder will develop and implement strategies to expand education and community engagement, creating inspiring projects and innovative approaches that instil a culture of impactful engagement across the organisation. They will provide strategic oversight of the Education Team, ensuring the continued excellence and evolution of educational programming. Working with colleagues across the Trust, the post holder will advance community-led conservation projects, supporting the Team Wilder ethos of social action as a conservation tool.

The role involves overseeing the Trust’s Local Groups, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, and fostering a sense of value and involvement. Additionally, the post holder will build and maintain relationships with community leaders, corporate members, mobilising community action for wildlife and enhancing stakeholder engagement. As a thought leader, the post holder will position the Trust as an authority on engagement, fostering expertise in nature connectedness, behaviour change and related fields.

Interdepartmental collaboration is essential, and the post holder will facilitate effective teamwork within the Engagement Directorate and across departments, including Nature Discovery Centres and the Fundraising Team, to drive shared goals. They will establish key performance indicators and impact metrics, regularly assess performance, and advocate for the successes of engagement initiatives. As a public spokesperson, they will inspire and rally people around wildlife conservation through campaigns and media presence, serving as an ambassador for the Trust.

Supporting team development is a key part of the role, with the post holder encouraging continuous improvement in team performance and fostering a culture of learning through training and on-the-job experience. They will oversee budgets and target-setting, ensuring delivery meets or exceeds financial goals. They will ensure adherence to policies, maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance in all activities, and will act as the Safeguarding Lead for Engagement, serving as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Liaising with central teams of The Wildlife Trusts, the post holder will ensure alignment and collaborative initiative development. They will also work closely with other Heads of Department at Essex Wildlife Trust to ensure cohesive leadership across the Trust, providing support to the Director where needed. The Role

Essex Legal Services (ELS) provides high quality, professional, legal advice across the Council and to increasing numbers of external clients.

As a caseworker in the Children and Education Team you will assist the lawyers to provide a high-quality advice and litigation service to meet the Council's corporate objectives and will support legally qualified and other colleagues, in providing routine admin and quasi legal tasks. Working directly to lawyers and paralegals, you will be commissioned to undertake various tasks such as preparing court bundles, organising meetings and administrative support. You will contribute to delivering a more efficient, professional service that is valued by our customers and improves their business.

The Children and Education legal team deal with highly sensitive, sometimes distressing, cases relating to child protection matters. You should therefore be resilient and empathetic. The team works at a very fast pace, often dealing with several urgent matters and it is therefore essential you are able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.

The Opportunity

You will support legally qualified colleagues in the delivery of all aspects of routine legal work within the Children and Education team across the Council and to external customers which will include:

• Dealing predominantly with public law cases including care proceedings and adoption proceedings;
• Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of your allocated lawyers' day to day activities;
• Liaising with external solicitors, barristers, courts and CAFCASS;
• Processing applications, preparing court bundles;
• Lodging documents with the Court and other parties via the Family Public Law online portal;

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working Teacher of German to join our busy Department.

The post would be suitable for a Graduate with a Degree in German who is interested in pursuing a teaching qualification. Currently, the School trains teachers through the University of Buckingham's Teacher Apprenticeship route (with the option to add the PGCE), and we also have a new connection with the National Modern Languages SCITT for whom we are hosting two MFL trainee teachers this year.

The post would also be suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) in either their first or second year of the Early Career Framework. ECTs at WHSB follow the ECF training through the National Institute of Teaching. ECTs also benefit from a reduced timetable and a dedicated mentor.
