BMB Industrial CABS Limited in Birkenhead are recruiting for an Apprentice Sewing Machinist. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 2 Sewing Machinist apprenticeship over the duration of 18 months.
Job Details:
• Operations through the manufacture of sewing PVC weather guards.
• Learn & perform the basic sewing/taping skills for all businesses.
• Basic maintenance skills to keep sewing machines in proper working order.
• Hands on approach, handling specialist responsibilities in the Sewing-PVC Department such
as sewing, taping, packing, final inspection, sewing machine maintenance & fault finding.
• The Sewing Machinist: PVC is expected to be able to perform in accordance with Health &
Safety Standards.
• Undertaking training to self-develop skills in the Sewing: PVC Department including training and development of appraisals, communication, structures by setting & maintaining a team
culture.
Requirements:
• An interest in a manufacturing industry and working with industrial sewing machines.
• A keen interest in learning Industrial sewing skills.
• The ability to effectively work in a close-knit team under supervision.
• A positive individual with a ‘can do’ attitude and results driven approach.
• Well organised and proactive, managing multiple priorities and coping when under pressure.

Hours of work:
Mon-Thu 8am-5pm Fri 8am-2pm / 30 min lunch & 2x 15 min breaks / 40 hours per week
