Waingels, a popular 11-18 school where students achieved above national average in all measures and was identified as “continuing to be good” in a recent OFSTED inspection, is seeking to appoint aTeacher of Englishon a maternity contract to provide high quality English teaching during a colleagues maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity for either a newly qualified teacher (ECT), or a more experienced teacher seeking a new challenge or experience. We would consider full or part- time teachers.

The successful candidate will teacher English to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of A-Level Language or Literature for a suitable candidate.

The curriculum is well sequenced. “It builds pupils’ knowledge and develops skills for future learning and employment” and “…identified exactly what teachers need to teach and when to teach it” (OFSTED 2023)

What skills and experience we're looking for

Required for January 2025, an inspirational and talented teacher of Modern Foreign Languages able to teach French up to A level, and Spanish to KS3, to join this successful department. GSCE results in MFL are excellent.

This post would be suitable for an ECT, or experienced teacher. Potential candidates may also wish to know that our admissions policy enables the school to prioritise the admission of children of staff recruited to posts in which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
