• Prepare high-quality technical documentation and oversee mechanical engineering components for major projects across Australia, ensuring excellence in execution.
• Expand your technical expertise by taking on Project Management responsibilities on select projects, and actively identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.

What will a day in this role look like:

• Be influential in the preparation of technical design documentation on building services projects across a variety of industries and market sectors. Work closely with a team of experience, multidisciplinary engineers in major projects contributing to project planning, design delivery and mentoring junior engineers within the business.
• Contribute to the projects in the broader team, by providing specialised advice on a range of projects, using your knowledge and experience of Australian standards.
• Step up and lead electrical components of major projects across health, aviation, defence and education, commercial projects, delivering exceptional outcomes to our clients.

Our Building Services Team Melbourne are looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join the team. This opportunity would suit a technically strong Electrical Engineer looking to grow their career and work on major projects in the health, sports infrastructure and defence space.

What will a day in this role look like:

• Utilise your extensive experience to Lead Electrical design and project delivery for our major clients, including the technical review of projects whilst effectively communicating and liaising with the client consistently.
• Provide high-quality design services across lighting, general and specialist power, earthing/lightning protection and power distribution & reticulation across various projects, in a range of market sectors.
• Work effectively within a team of multi-disciplinary engineers; using your technical knowledge to drive quality through reviewing designs, calculations, specifications and drawings.
• Assist with bids and tenders as required whilst developing future business with ongoing and new clientele.
• Provide leadership and mentor junior engineers within the broader AECOM business whilst liaising with Engineers across various disciplines on a variety of projects.

Due to a strong project pipeline, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Melbourne Energy Team as a Senior Primary Engineer. This presents an opportunity for an experienced primary systems engineer to work across both transmission and distribution projects.

What will a day in this role look like:
 

• Be instrumental in concept and detailed design of substation primary systems and earthing systems for key clients across Australian and New Zealand.
• Lead and oversee projects, including conducting site visits, inspections and writing design reports.
• Interface with clients on existing projects and leverage future opportunities with senior members of the team by partaking in bids
• Provide technical expertise in accordance with project time, quality and cost objectives.
• You will support the Principal Engineers and develop design associated with HV systems including cable rating, earthing, lightning protection and insulation coordination studies

We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Scientist / Engineer to join our Environmental Team based in Melbourne. In this role, you will assist with fieldwork, report writing and project management of multiple concurrent contamination investigations and remediation projects.

What will a day in this role look like:

• Work autonomously on preliminary and detailed site investigations and site validation reports.
• Plan, manage and supervise field work activities across a range of projects including acting in Principal Contractor supervisor roles
• Use your technical knowledge and prior experience to manage projects independently.
• Liaise with clients and sub-contractors on site working on projects across the Defence, Oil & Gas, Transport, Mining, Water and Energy sectors.

AECOM’s dynamic Water group in Melbourne is growing and we are looking for an experienced and motivated Principal Civil Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure team. AECOM is in an exciting period of growth and is fully invested in doubling the size of our Civil Infrastructure team in Victoria.  A key part of this role will be working with clients, building relationships, growing our team size and pipeline of work.
