Job Title: Gas Engineer (Progression to Manager)
Location: Bromsgrove
Salary: £41,269.80
Hours: 37 hours per week.
Monday- Thursday 8:30- 17:00 with 1 hour lunch. Friday 8:30- 16:00 with 30 mins lunch.

Job Description:
Are you a skilled Gas Engineer looking for the next step in your career? Do you have leadership potential and a passion for delivering excellent service? We are seeking a motivated and experienced Gas Engineer to join our team, with a clear path to progress into a managerial role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency gas-related repairs and maintenance in social housing properties.
- Diagnose and repair faults on heating systems, boilers, and other gas appliances.
- Ensure all work complies with current gas safety regulations and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional demeanor with residents.
- Collaborate with other trades and operatives to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Manage a team of 7 gas engineers and multi-skilled operatives as you transition into a managerial role.
- Oversee scheduling, performance reviews, and professional development of team members.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are strictly followed on all jobs.
- Report to senior management on team performance, project progress, and any issues arising.
- To assist the Responsive Repairs Manager and Head of Responsive Repairs with regular reviews of the repairs process.
- Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to and take responsibility for the appropriate day to day management of quality services to our residents.
- Ensuring the security and condition of vehicles, plant and equipment
- Ensure that data and compliance position is communicated and available to the Compliance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Gas Engineer, ideally within the social housing sector.
- Relevant gas qualifications (e.g., Gas Safe registered).
- Strong knowledge of gas safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership experience or demonstrated potential to lead and manage a team.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license.
