We are recruiting for an Estates Manager- Mechanical who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
To ensure the provision of an efficient and effective maintenance service for the Trust’s estate, inclusive of engineering plant & equipment, building services, building repairs and Grounds and Gardens maintenance.
To undertake minor or major capital projects as directed by the Director of Estates & Facilities. To have delegated day to day management responsibility for the estates directly employed labour force and workshop facilities.
To participate in the estates Emergency out of hour’s on-call rota service provision.
There is a requirement for the candidate to be mechanically biased with strong multi-skills to be able to cover the specialist duties of Lead/AP’s/RP’s as listed.
Ability to commute between Trust's sites.

To have delegated overall responsibility for the maintenance of the Trust’s estate including day-to-day and planned maintenance utilising direct labour and contracted services.
Take line management responsibility for the craft staff appraisals and staff training in line with the KSF (Knowledge Skills Framework) & ESR process.
Ensure that the procurement of all goods and services is carried out in line with SFI’s (Standing Financial Instructions) and SO’s (Standard Orders). Manage the estates stores & ensure a sufficient stock of engineering consumables and spares is always available.
Contribute to the design, specification and supervision maintenance and capital works + minor revenue works schemes as required, including the preparation of estimates, planned maintenance activities and programs for plant replacement.
Attend regular staff briefings to ensure that up to date with the current Trust strategy and direction.
