Graduate Mechanical Engineer
- Location: Hutton, Brentwood, Essex
- Working a 4-day week (39 hours): 7.00am - 5.15pm
- Choice of Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday
- Salary Guide: £25,500 to £29,500 pa.
An established leader in the manufacturing industry, specialising in precision engineering and advanced manufacturing solutions, is dedicated to investing in the next generation of engineers by offering comprehensive training and hands-on experience in CNC machining and toolmaking.
This role is open to Graduates with a Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Engineering degree or similar and offers an unique opportunity to learn and develop skills in CNC machining and toolmaking. The successful candidate will receive extensive training, working closely with experienced professionals to gain practical knowledge and expertise in this specialised field.
Key Responsibilities:
Training and Development: Participate in a structured training program covering CNC machining, toolmaking and related engineering principles.
CNC Machining: Learn to operate and program CNC machines, including lathes, mills, CAD/CAM and grinders, to manufacture precision components.
Toolmaking: Assist in the design, development, and production of tools, dies, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes.
Quality Control: Understand and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and consistency of manufactured parts.
Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including process plans, setup sheets, and inspection reports.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
