Joining as a Senior (or moving towards this level), you will be encourgaed to get involved at the design phase of projects and also to contribute at an architectural level - you won't just follow a rigid brief and be a cog in a wheel here.

What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for strong Java/Spring Engineer, ideally with Microservices experience and with Angular UI on the Front End. They use MySQL but other relational databases will be okay.

It's an AWS environment, and they are big on Agile and collaboration, so these skills and an open communicative nature will be important.

You should be comfortable using Git, Jira and Confluence (or similar).

Looking forward they will be embracing Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes and other modern Dev tooling - so any of these will serve you well.

Your Next Challenge

• Facilitate and execute cross-training for select team members.

What It Takes to Excel

• A minimum of 4 years' experience as a Cloud Engineer.
• Proficiency in at least one cloud platform, preferably Azure.
• Demonstrable expertise in designing and establishing landing zones.
• Knowledge in identity management systems (Active Directory, SAML, Azure AD, MFA/conditional access tools) is advantageous.

DevOps Engineer (Windows Platform, CI/CD, Teamcity)
Bournemouth (Hybrid - 2 Days Remote)

Your new company
I've been retained exclusively to recruit a new product team for a tech-first business that specialise in managing investments for hedge funds, VC enterprises and private equity firms. They are insistent on working at the sharp edge of technology and are now looking to add a Senior DevOps Engineer to their team.

You will be working hybrid in this role, 3 days per week in their newly refurbished offices in Central Bournemouth, on commuting lines to London and 2 minutes from the Beach.

Your new role
This is an amazing opportunity and the ideal time to be getting involved at a Fintech company where software is a profit maker, not a cost. The Software Dev Manager does not compromise on equipment and tools to ensure they are ahead of the game.

You'll be working to build and maintain their platform for all automation-related activities with a focus on continuous integration/continuous deployment. You'll join a tech team of 20-30 reporting into the Software Dev Manager and will be a crucial lynchpin between scrum teams so communication skills are paramount. You will essentially take ownership of their DevOps activities and lead their migration effort towards Azure from AWS.

The Dev Manager has a clear mandate to scale, but with the right people. You'll be working alongside a really high-level team in a flat structure where your voice will be heard.


What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for 5+ years commercial experience in DevOps using modern tooling (Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, Octopus Deploy, TFS, Teamcity and alike).

We are open to those who have worked On-Prem, or with Azure directly. The business will migrate from AWS to Azure in the future so someone who has been involved in this would be great. What is crucial is that the business works on Windows (Not Linux) so you must be open to working on Windows.

Your new role
The Level 3 Support Engineer will be responsible for:

• Providing expert technical support to resolve complex IT issues for clients contacting the support desk.
• Analysing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing escalated incidents to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely fashion and customer down-time is minimised.
• Collaborating closely with Level 1 and Level 2 support teams to stream-line issue escalation processes and enhance overall service delivery.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced infrastructure solutions tailored to meet client's specific needs.
• Conducting in-depth root cause analysis to identify and address recurring issues allowing the implementation of preventative measures.
• Contributing to the development of standard operating processes, knowledge bases and documentation to improve overall efficiency of Sentinel's support functions.
• Serving as a technical escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 engineers, offering guidance and knowledge transfer.

What you'll need to succeed

• MS Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, One Drive.
• Active Directory and Azure AD
• VPNs, Firewalls, Routers, managed switches, wireless LANs - ideally DRAYTEK
• Virtualisation - likely VMWare
• In depth understanding of network protocols, routing, and subnets. Remote support of Windows 2016, 2019 and 2022.
• Exchange 2010 and above.
• Cloud based Telephony/ SIP Trunks configuration & support.
• Dropbox/ Google Drive
• Knowledge of Wireless PTP link connections
• Scripting/ PowerShell, CMD
• Google Sheets Scripting preferred.
• Knowledge and support of Apple operating systems on both IOS and MACOS
• Experience using remote access software.
• Service management systems ideally Connectwise.
• Cyber-security solutions such as Bitdefender or Webroot
• Cabling and patch management
