Our client is looking for an Engineering Supervisor (ES) for on-going contract assignments in the Central & West Coast Mainline area.

As an Engineering Supervisor (ES) you will take part in the inspection, maintenance and repair of railway lines or associated services on various Network Rail projects, or with one of our many clients, including High Output, CP6, Amey, Balfour Beatty and various more other clients.

McGinley Support Services are looking for a Design Engineer for London, Blackfriars !!

SALARY:£35,000 - £50,000 annual salary
HOURS: 45hrs/week
START: ONCE APPROVED
CLOSING DATE: 05/04/2024
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent

REQUIRED TICKETS/TRAINING:
* Degree in civil engineering or equivalent
* CSCS
* Minimum 3 years of experience; preferably with a mix of site and design office
* Experience in obtaining third-party technical approval of proposals.
* Experience in the Water, Rail, and Power sectors - Experience in the detailed design of permanent and temporary works including the use of CAD - Working knowledge of relevant industry specifications (CESWI, Network Rail, Highways, Building Regulations).


ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Senior Temporary Works Engineer the temporary works designer will work in the design team carrying out detailed design and checking of temporary works and minor permanent works for civil engineering. They will provide technical support to assist with operational activities for our projects across the UK. The role is based in Blackfriars but as we provide national coverage there will be occasional travel throughout the UK to different projects & sites.

The temporary works design includes support of excavations, falsework and formwork, access scaffolds, working platforms, shaft/tunnel installation, plant equipment, and lifting operations. Reinforced concrete shaft bases, roof slabs, steelwork fabrications, and pipework thrust restraints

McGinley Support Services are looking for a Senior Engineer!

The Role:

The Senior Engineer is to provide site engineering duties to several projects within the region, including the supervision of trainees and site engineers within the region. The role involves establishing the level and survey control for contracts and setting out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made on a regular basis.

Essential

Previous experience in setting out on civil engineering projects, which should include highways, infrastructure, and reinforced concrete works
Degree/HNC, or equivalent, in civil engineering
CSCS card
SMSTS
Confined space training
Experience using AutoCAD
Ability to manage and deliver a successful project with minimal guidance
Experience in running reports and ensuring accurate record keeping
Effective working both individually or as a team member
Ability to communicate with client representatives, site team and operatives
Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to a conclusion

Tickets/training/certs required
