The ideal candidate will have previously worked within a high-profile commercial environment. Our client has a corporate office in Stratford and a critical site in Romford in our portfolio. 3 days a week will be based at Stratford with the other 2 days possibly at Romford or assisting at another Client site in London. Candidates must have a positive attitude towards health and safety and must also be able to demonstrate a track record in the commercial building services environment. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm but an earlier start is possible at Stratford.

Main Duties

Close working relationship with the Client and Mitie Team members. Be the first point of contact for planned and reactive work whilst at Stratford. Compile quotations to client for remedial and improvements. Issue relevant site Permits as part of the Safe System of Work. Completion of PPM and reactive tasks and update the site folders / Maximo to ensure 100% compliance.

Stratford is within a tenant demise, main tasks include;

-Lamp / ballast changes

-Painting / decorating

-Minor plumbing tasks

-L8 Monitoring

-Checking / replacing desk fuses in the common areas.

What we are looking for

Fabric / Carpentry / Painting and Decorating Trade. Level 2 Electrical installation or recognised equivalent. Health & Safety Training. Compliance awareness L8, Statutory and Mandatory Inspections.

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to undertake the maintenance and repair of air conditioning equipment. This includes service, maintenance, and repair of split AC systems, VRV/VRF systems and heat pumps. You may also be required to work on specific refrigeration equipment such as chilled cabinets / multideck or ice machines.

You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of manufacturer plants, for example, Daikin, Mitsubishi, Media, Toshiba, and LG. Understanding installation designs and bespoke manufacturer trouble shooting procedures, whilst also being comfortable with seeking manufacturer technical support autonomously is desirable. You will be expected to complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspections reports and remedial work.

Candidates will have a full current driving licence and be willing to participate in an On-Call rota. You'll be capable of performing manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces. Good verbal and written communication are important, including the ability to use a handheld computer device (PDA). You'll need to be highly self-motivated, and solutions focussed with the ability to work without supervision but also enjoy working as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment. You must have relevant qualifications e.g., FGAS & ODS regs, time served apprenticeship, C&G Level 3 / NVQ or equivalent. Also, knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working. You will be provided opportunities for training, development, progression, and internal promotions.
