Salary : £28080-£38450 per annum (Based on experience & qualifications)

Overview of Role:

The primary responsibility of the Gas Engineer will be to maintain and repair heating systems in our clients' properties. They will ensure that the heating & hot water systems are operating efficiently and safely, and that any repairs are completed in a timely manner ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out service and maintenance works on a variety of domestic properties across the region.
• Ensuring high levels of customer care in dealing with clients and tenants to meet the required quality standards.
• Communicate updates and progress of work, completing the required paperwork electronically and manually.
• Ensure all Health and Safety requirements and legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH Records, are adhered to during your daily work.
• To comply with stock ordering and auditing procedures so relevant parts are available to fulfil job requirements.

Key Attributes & Requirements:

• Gas qualifications are essential for this role including as a minimum CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1.
• Out of Hours evening and weekend cover on a rota basis is required as part of this role
• A friendly and professional attitude to build strong relationships with clients & tenants
• It is important that we complete all the appropriate criminal and reference checks before you start working with us.

Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer- Leicester

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to join the team, based in and around Leicester, Derby & Northampton. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week. In return, you will receive a basic salary of £33,037.00 per annum Plus OTE through incentive scheme and out of hours, along with Company Van & Fuel Card & Excellent Benefits!

We have one of the largest companies in the industry now looking to expand the Gas Engineering team

Responsibilities for this Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer role are:

Undertake the servicing, repairing and maintenance of Domestic heating systems
Complete works in accordance with specification and gas safe regulations
Completion of all relevant paperwork
Ensure customer satisfaction and safety
Participate in out of hour's works, including overtime and call out
Work to operational procedures, safe working practices and H&S procedures
Reporting of all accidents, near miss events or potential hazards
Undertake all other maintenance works within remit
Work flexibly with a diverse range of customers

What we are looking for in our ideal Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer:

Recognised formal training attaining the relevant craft qualification, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent
ACS Qualifications CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT
UNVENTED qualifications are desirable but not essential
Understanding of gas legislation
Full driving license
Understanding of Health and Safety and working to best practice
Ability to manage own time and workload
Experience of working with the public, demonstrating excellent customer service and having flexibility
