Cadence, a world leader in Electronic Design Automation Tools & IP, is currently looking for talented Electronic & Electrical Engineering or Computing Science undergraduates for internship positions. The ideal candidates will be EE or CS students in their penultimate year, or a recent graduate, who are looking to work alongside our experienced Interface Controller Intellectual Property (IP) development team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in the digital design and verification of leading edge IP, alongside a highly skilled team with over 25 years’ experience in the domain of digital electronics.

Position Requirements

The successful candidates will ideally have had exposure to the following ASIC Chip Design & Verification techniques:

• Verilog RTL Design
• Testbench Development
• Assertion Based Verification
• Object-Orientated Programming with Embedded or Digital Design experience

Experience with Unix, EDA tools and scripting languages such as Python or Perl would be a welcome addition. The internship positions are for 3 or 6 months.

About the role:

• Introduce and develop new SOFC (solid oxide fuel cell) materials and components such as electrodes, electrolytes, seals, and coatings. Submit invention disclosures when appropriate.
• Use expertise in electrochemistry and/or high temperature materials to identify promising material sets, define functional requirements, and establish and perform characterization studies on the component and stack level
• Evaluate performance and degradation of new materials against established metrics
• Explore new characterization methods and develop new metrology to advance technical learning and improve product quality

The Autodesk Graphics Platform (AGP) Team is looking for a Software Engineer Intern, to dive into a Graphics Platform used by different Autodesk products, including Fusion, Revit, Inventor, 3ds Max, and Maya. Our works explore and extend open-source software like Aurora renderer, OpenUSD, MaterialX, glTF, OpenPBR, Autodesk Standard Surface, and Vulkan.  

Responsibilities   

• Design and write robust, readable, maintainable, and extensible code

• Produce both unit tests and developer documentation for new code 

• Debug existing subsystems and identify problem areas in the code while providing impacting solutions

• Profile and optimize existing code on a variety of platforms, and create performance and unit tests to catch any regressions   

Minimum Qualifications   

• Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree seeking program with a focus in computer science or computer graphics with an expected graduation in 2025

• Prior Experience with computer graphics application development

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to our Principal Engineer, Mechanical and based in San Jose, CA.  This is a fully on-site, in office role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and Analysis: Collaborate with our experienced engineering team to design and analyze mechanical components and systems for our fuel cell technology. 

• Prototyping: Assist in the development of prototypes, conduct tests, and gather data to evaluate the performance of mechanical systems. 

• CAD Modeling: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 3D models and drawings of mechanical components. 

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of design changes, test results, and project progress. 

• Problem Solving: Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to mechanical systems, identifying, and proposing solutions. 

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues from different departments, including electrical engineering, manufacturing, and operations, to ensure project success. 

• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment.

Our team of security experts helps Autodesk design build and maintain secure products. We are embedding security in the full spectrum of how we build our products from inception, design and development, testing to how we are running them in the cloud and how we are responding to any existing or latest threats to our products or the building blocks of our products and services. As a Security Engineer Intern on the Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) organization, you’ll drive projects, solve unique challenges, while diving deep into our Security processes. You’ll get placed into one of our multiple security teams that directly impact on the top-line security posture and the revenue for our company.

Responsibilities

• Managing your project end-to-end, including developing, testing, releasing, and monitoring security solutions       

• Partnering across many security teams including infrastructure, engineering, operations, incident response, and offensive security to develop scalable solutions

• Understanding the AWS security landscape & deploy controls to prevent, detect and respond to security threats

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelors or Masters degree seeking program with an expected graduation date in 2025

• Strong development skills in Python or equivalent language

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior software engineering experience from internships, hackathons, or other related projects

• Prior experience in Terraform and GraphQL is a plus

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools

• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, ECS, EC2, S3, DynamoDB

• Strong knowledge of OSI layers and network protocols, technologies like firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS., etc.

• Knowledge of Threat detection and SIEM solutions and log management/ collection platform like Splunk Cloud, Enterprise Security, Datadog

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:

• $47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)
• $72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)
• $118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
