About the role

Due to the growing demand for technology protection in Singapore and regionally, our team in Singapore is currently looking for Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Mechanical Engineers/ Physics to train as Patent Attorneys.

Candidates will be considered for a Patent Engineer position and will have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics. A PhD or Master’s degree or an equivalent amount of related work experience will be viewed very favorably. More importantly, candidates must exhibit strong English Language communication skills (both written and oral) and the capacity for understanding diverse technologies.

The role will involve all aspects of patent work including the drafting, filing and prosecution of patent applications in Singapore and abroad.

Successful candidates will receive training and development towards achieving the coveted professional status of a Singapore Registered Patent Attorney with very attractive remuneration at qualification level. Accordingly, candidates must be ready to make a long-term commitment (typically at least 4-5 years) to study outside of typical office hours to pass the necessary examinations to qualify as a Patent Attorney.

Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer - What you'll do:​​​​​​​

As a Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with one of our experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, fix, maintain, and test a range of Traffic Signals / Traffic Lights and electrical equipment that is associated with this, in and around the Crawley and West Sussex regions. Training isn't in a classroom, it is a healthy mix of 'on the job' learning, providing you with an opportunity to work towards an NVQ in Electrical Installations and Sector based certifications such as ECS and the National Highways Sector Scheme (NHSS) Chapter 8.

Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer - Who you are:

You will naturally have an interest in troubleshooting, fixing, testing and maintaining Electrical equipment, and already have some exposure to anything electrical - whether that's working with outdoor lighting, CCTV's, controllers, detection boxes, telecommunications / radio equipment etc, or you've had some experience via a College related course / Diploma.

Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer - Key requirements / behaviours:

• Motivation and willingness to learn on the job and via online learning


• Previous experience of Electrical testing, maintenance, fixing or installing, or a holder of an Electrical course / diploma or similar


• Ability to problem solve and providing ideas - ultimately the job requires you to think outside the box, and working through "fault finding instructions"


• Full UK Driving Licence holder


• Able to and willing to undertake a Drugs & Alcohol test to ensure compliancy.

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to expand their existing team with the addition of a highly motivated and career-minded individual to train in life safety systems engineering, based from home.

You will have the opportunity to travel around the UK developing your technical and process skills with training on a wide range of life safety systems and equipment types installed within blue-chip customer sites.

You will have 12 weeks of ‘on-the-job’ training, where you will learn more basic technical and statutory requirements in servicing, repair, installation, commissioning, and project engineering life safety systems, including fire alarms, voice alarms, fire extinguishers, and refuge & call systems.

Predominantly Lancs, Manchester, Liverpool, and surrounding areas., though some training & work may require further UK travel, including occasional working away from home, this would be communicated and agreed upon in advance. All travel, hotel & subsistence costs are met by the company

What you will need: -Trainee Life Safety Systems Electrical Engineer

· A technical mind with the desire and drive to progress within the fire industry

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team

· Full driving licence you can use in the UK, with no more than 3 penalty points

A supplementary industry-recognised external training package will also be provided and tailored to the individual needs of the successful candidate, based on their previous experience, qualifications, and skills.

Full-time 37.5 hours Monday to Friday, although regular overtime and weekend opportunities are available.

Ideally, you will hold GCSE grade C (or equivalent) or above in Maths, English, and any technically related subject, City & Guilds 231 Electrical Parts 1&2 / IEEE 17th / 19th Edition / ONC is Electronic engineering or equivalent would be a great advantage but not essential
